How should I prepare for DU JAT entrance exam for courses like BMS, BFIA...I want to get colleges like Shaheed Sukhdev, keshav Mahavidyala. I am appearing for class 12 board exams right now. I have commerce with maths.

harshitasharansrivastava Student Expert 19th Mar, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

DU Jat exam consists of four sections: General and Business Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability that carry 25 questions each. Each question carries 4 marks with a penalty of 1 mark for each wrong answer.

To start of with your preparation i'll recommend you to solve atleast one previous year paper, so that you get an idea about the pattern and difficulty level of the exam. This will also help you in identifying your weak and strong areas. List down the syllabus and start preparing topic wise. Study each section daily. And give as many mocks as possible. A proper time management and thorough knowledge of the syllabus will definitely help you to secure a seat in the college of your choice.

Good Luck

Hey Student,

As per the additional eligibilty criteria and basis of selection , Aggregate of 60% or more marks in qualify ing examination in four subjects: English, Mathematics and any two subjects included in list B.

Selection will be based on the rank computed from the combined weighted average of percentage scored in the entrance exam and the percentage scored in the qualifying examination where the weights are: Entrance exam -65% and the Qualifying examination-35% .Hence Maths is compulsory so you cannot apply.

hey, what is the percentage of 100th rank holder in du jat

Neha Kanwar 13th Mar, 2020

Hello Sahil,

Since the result of DU JAT depends on the performance of candidates appearing in the entrance test so it varies every year and it is not possible to say the exact percentage of 100th rank holder.

The comparison of marks and alloting of ranks are normalized on the basis of Equipercentile Equation procedure and merit ranking is done on the basis of normalized marks.

For declaring DU JAT result the following weightage of percentage of marks is considered -

  1. DU JAT entrance test score - 65
  2. Class 12th score - 35
