Hello Aspirant,
Yes, you can appear for improvement exams for Mathematics, English, and Hindi for the year 2025 if you appeared for your Class 10 board exams in 2025, as per CBSE guidelines. After appearing for your Class 10 board you can only appear for improvement in subjects in the same year you appeared for the main exam. Keep in mind, you can only appear for improvement once in the following year after your main exam. If you need more accurate and recent information about the subject improvement application process you should check the official CBSE website or simply reach out to your school.
Hii,
After completing 12th grade arts (English medium, RBSE), you can pursue a BCA degree. While many private colleges accept students in the arts, some may require math or computer as a 12th grade subject. Before applying, simply review the college's rules.
Since BCA is about computers, you should be interested in learning software and coding. Even if you have an arts background, you can succeed in BCA if you put in the necessary effort.
Hi Manshi,
Yes, you are able to give improvement exams in three of the subjects (Maths, English, and Hindi) in the year 2025 as long as you appeared for the Class 10 CBSE board examination in the same year. CBSE enables the collective group of students improving in one or more subjects in the same calendar year through the Improvement Exam or Compartment exams that are usually held in July (following result announcement). Since you are dissatisfied with your 78%, and you can improve in each of the individual subjects, that means you are eligible to apply for improvement examination. Just ensure you apply within the deadline when the registration will open on the official CBSE site. As an additional note, improvement exams are only allowed in subjects that you already passed (you must have already achieved the minimum grade).
Keep checking the CBSE (https://www.cbse.gov.in/) website for updates.
Hello Ankita,
No, you cannot replace English with Punjabi while calculating the 75% eligibility criteria for JEE Main or JEE Advanced . As per JEE rules:
To qualify under the 75% eligibility for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, you must score 75% or more in the best 5 subjects , which must include:
Physics
Mathematics
Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject
A language (this must be English , if it is a core subject in your board curriculum)
One more subject (best scoring)
However, for most boards, English is treated as a compulsory subject , and you cannot skip it in the best-of-five calculation if it is part of the main subject group. So in your case:
Even though Punjabi has a higher score, you must include English in the calculation if it is your core language subject (which it usually is in CBSE, ISC, and state boards). You can still use Punjabi as the fifth subject if your board allows it.
No, you cannot exclude English from the top 5 subject calculation if it's part of your core/main subjects . You must include English, along with PCM and two other best-scoring subjects, to meet the 75% eligibility for JEE.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
