I have completed my 12th in 2018...will I be eligible for B.A Foreign language JNU 2021? (I am currently in the third year of graduation.) #JNU

Pankhuri Kumari 17th Jan, 2021
Hii!
If you talk about eligibility criteria for applying into BA Foreign Languages course in jnu, it states that the candidate must have scored atleast 45% marks in class 12th from a recognised Board of Education. Also, a common entrance test is conducted by jnu, which needs to be cleared in order to get a seat.
If you talk about MA in foreign languages as you are in third year of your graduation degree, the link given below may help you-

Hope this helps.

In India there are few specific languages which have a great scope like German, French, English, Japanese and chinese.

Although you can learn many more languages but these few languages have great scope as their country of origin are ready to accept you and you will get more opportunities in those countries.

You can be translator staying in India as these countries have many companies working with our companies thus giving you more scope.

You can also try for teaching stidents their basic levels as a freelancers or in big classes.

So you can go for these subjects which I have mentioned above.

doing bachelors degree with foreign language teaches the language...?

Raychel 13th Oct, 2020

Hello there,

I hope you are doing well, I assume from your question that you are very much interested to learn a new language. The basic thing about learning a new language is to communicate freely without causing misunderstandings. Taking a bachelor course in a language you aren't much known too can be abit difficult.

Some colleges might start from the very basic others may not do so and only brush off on the important stuff. This can vary from college to college and depending on the language that is required to be thought. A simple example I can give you of English. During my BSC the subject of English was through to us in brief and how to apply it , while writing or speaking. You can say it was more inclined to spoken English. But if you are trying for language like French or German they will start with the basics. Not necessarily that they may cover everything but the course will aid you a lot. As they say something is better than nothing. My suggestion to you is that go and check with the college you wish to admit and see what is being thought. The rest you will have to contribute your share of efforts too. But if you are doing pure bachelor's degree in a particular language than yes they will teach you from the basics.

Hope this helps.
