Genetic Engineering
Hello Aspirant ,
Genetic engineering is a field of study where the genetic code of an organism is altered or manipulated to produce a desired trait . The insertion of gene into the host DNA is done using biotechnology. It is a 4 years course but if you want to reach a good position you need to do advance studies. This field is useful in research, agriculture, medicine and biotechnology After getting a PhD you may go as a core researcher or scientist or teach in a good university. With bachelors or masters you can be research or lab assistants. You may join in the research and development team of any biotech or pharma company after MSc or MTech is the same.

Hello there,
Btech In BIO Technology is vast branch of research and if you will not confined yourself in the branch related studies then you will surely get many exposure learn about Medial Search. I am attaching the link below, refer the article to know more about Bio-Technology.

As Bsc is pure science based....Bsc (genetics) involves the study of the pure genetics and not the techniques used int hat...Bsc (genetics) is of theee years ..
B.tech in egnetics is consits of three types.
. Microinjection of DNA into nucleus of anchor cells.
. ELectroporation in which DNA is introduced through cell memebrane pires by pulsed electrical charge
. Polycationic neutration of cells membrane and DNA to be introduced to improve possive uptakes .
So,Btech in genetics is more better than Bsc genetics as in btech you will get the theoritical and practical knowledge...and in Bsc in genetics will give only theoretical knowlede..
Hello Sudharson ,
Genetic Engineering is the process of manipulating an organism genome using bio technology methods . Generally , it is a four years program in B.tech . You have to qualify (10+2) with science (Physics , Chemistry ,Biology) as core subjects .
Coming to future scopes in India and Abroad
Higher studies for Ph.D or you can work as lab managers and researchers even you can join in R and D fields . You can work in government and private organizations .
If you want some more information about colleges go through this link you get some idea .

I think this answer will help you lot .
All the best !!!!!

Hi,
B.Sc. in Cardiac Perfusion is a three year UG course in Bioscience which focus on the knowledge on human anatomy, perfusion, science, and perfusion methods that are combined with biological subjects such as biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, anatomy, and clinical evaluation. Btech in genetic engineering mainly combines the concepts of biology and engineering. Both courses are good options. The job opportunities based on this courses is comparatively low in our country. But the students who complete this course do get good opportunities in abroad than in India. The jobs where Btech genetic engineer get placed are scientific/ medical Writer, Genetic Engineer, Information Security Engineer etc. Perfusionists predominantly work in the operating rooms of hospitals and the surgical centres along with the medical teams. So this course have higher opportunities in our state and also in abroad. So my humble suggestion is go for this one. All the best.
Dear Aspirant,
Btech Genetic Engineering is a 4 year undergraduate course.Genetic engineering is a branch of advanced science, which is concerned with the wide range of scientific techniques that are applied in order to purposely change the genetic structure in DNA code of a living life form so as to create newer and better things.
For admission in genetic BTech course the candidate is need to have passed 10+2examination from a recognized board of education with biology, chemistry and physics as a main subject with 60% aggregate score. For admission in this course you need to qualify a relevant national/state or university level engineering entrance exam followed by rounds of counselling and personal interview.
Some of the major national level entrance exam conducted in India for this course are JEE Main,JEE advance,SRMJEE,VIT EEE,BIT SAT,JNU EEE etc.Other university level exam is conducted by SRM University,Vellore institute,Birla institute and Jawaharlal Nehru university.
Thank you
Hello student ,
Genetic engineering course is the course which essentially comprises the study of the deliberate modification of an organism's basic characteristics by manipulating its genetic material. Further to pursue this course you must have completed your 10+ 2 education with PCB. While there are engineering institutes that consider Mathematics a compulsory subject in order to offer admissions to candidates, institutes like JNU does not make maths mandatory for seeking admissions into the BTech in Biotechnology programmes. Candidates who have studied Biology in 10 +2 can also apply for admission .Further median fee structure is approx 8 LPA .
Hope it helps !
