what is the history of Kumbh mela?

Zeenat Saba 24th Nov, 2020

Hii,

Kumbh means pot or pitcher, while mela means festival or fair.

According to ancient Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu released drops of an immortality nectar (carried in a kumbh ) in four places where the holiday is now celebrated —

Nashik, Prayagraj, Ujjain and Haridwar.

The festival rotates approximately every three years through these cities, with the exact dates, places and length largely determined by astrology.

In 2017, UNESCO added the festival to the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Citing the event’s “central spiritual role in the country.”

Hope this will help you,

All the very best!!

mvgr full history in only cse department including company visited etc...

Rama Devi 24th Nov, 2020

Hello,

As per the reviews by Alumni Students, 19 LPA is the highest salary package provided by Amazon, and about 4 LPA is the average salary package offered. You were permitted to attend all the interviews with companies before you are hired, so once you are placed, you would only be permitted to companies providing almost double salary package of your currently chosen company. The primary downside of placement cell is that if you are placed once in a company, you are not allowed even for off-campus drives. Following are the companies frequently visit the campus BAJAJ Allianz, Berger Paints, bnp paribas, Face Academy for Career Enhancement, Factset,Future Generali ,Genpact, HP, HSBC. The college's professors are well-qualified. They have a really strong understanding of their respective topics. The curriculum of the course is acceptable and suitable for the mind of a student. It will give everyone more time for their self-research, which then in graduation life is most important. They recently began controlling A2 from their batch, which gives more time for their self-assessment and do their own analysis.

sir My question is that while preparing for upsc CSC, we must also read the subject which we did not choose as an optional subject. Like I have taken political science optional, So do I need to read History and Geography. Please tell me about it.

pdwords Student Expert 18th Nov, 2020
Hello, .

UPSC Civil Service Exam consists of three stages-

Preliminary : First Stage is MCQs based exam, it has two papers and each one consists of 200 marks, its numbers ain't added to final list, you just need to score the required cut offs against your category.

First is GS Paper-I which consists of the following topic such as History of India and Indian national movement, Indian and World geography, Economic and social development- sustainable development, poverty, inclusion demographics, social sector initiatives etc,Indian polity and governance-constitution,political system,Current Events nationally and Internationally, General Science,General Issues on environmental ecology, biodiversity and climate change. you just need to score the required cut offs against your category.

Second Paper is CSAT which is qualifying by nature, you need to score merely 33% which is 66 marks out of 200, it includes following topics such as basic numeracy, comprehension, logical reasoning and analytical ability, general mental ability, decision making and problem solving, interpersonal skills including communication skills.

Mains : This is a second stage which it's more of a subjective type, you are required to write answers for Four General Studies Paper such as

GS-I includes Indian Heritage and Culture,History and Geography of the World and Society,
GS-II includes Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International Relations,
GS-III includes Technology, Economic Development, Bio-Diversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management,
GS-IV includes Ethics, Integrity, and Aptitude
Two Optionals,
One Essay,
Two Language Paper

Hence, to answer your question apart from your optional subjects you are also required to read the syllabus of Prelims and Mains, as aforementioned which includes geography, economy, ethics ,history, science and tech etc.
