Sir my brother got 51% in +2 from icse board and he get 1000000 lakh crl rank in btech and 214966 lakh crl rank in b.arch sir suggest me bst

Suganya M 28th Apr, 2025

Based on your brother’s academic performance and rank, here are some professional suggestions for choosing the best career path:

  • Analyze B.Tech and B.Arch Options Separately:

    • His CRL rank of 10,00,000 in B.Tech is very high, making it difficult to get admission into top engineering colleges through regular counseling like JOSAA or CSAB.

    • His B.Arch CRL rank of 2,14,966 is relatively better compared to his B.Tech rank but still challenging for getting into premium architecture colleges.

  • Private Universities and Management Quota:

    • He can explore private engineering or architecture colleges that accept direct admissions based on 12th marks or through management quota .

    • Some private universities conduct their own entrance exams or offer spot admission with flexible cutoffs (e.g., Amity University, Lovely Professional University, SRM University, etc.).

  • Diploma Courses or Lateral Entry:

    • He can consider doing a diploma course related to engineering or architecture and then apply for lateral entry into the second year of B.Tech/B.Arch later.

  • Focus on Skill-Based Courses:

    • Parallelly, he can pursue certification courses in areas like graphic designing, interior designing, CAD, 3D modeling, or software development to enhance employability.

    • Short-term skill courses will help in building a strong resume irrespective of academic performance.

  • Improving Academic Profile:

    • If he is interested, he can take a gap year , prepare well, and reappear for entrance exams like JEE Main, NATA (for B.Arch), or other state-level exams to improve his rank and eligibility.

  • Important Point:

    • Some universities have minimum 50%-55% criteria in 12th for eligibility. Since he has 51%, he qualifies for many private institutions but should always check the eligibility criteria carefully before applying.

  • Final Advice:

    • Carefully research colleges that match his interests and abilities.

    • Prioritize colleges offering good placements, faculty, and infrastructure.

    • Focus on practical skills, internships, and certification courses alongside his degree to ensure good career opportunities.

I got b.arc rank 215419 and get 51% in +2 with icse board which college i get

sudeepta 7th Jul, 2019

With this rank in All India getting a government college is very difficult. Under General category, sc,st or obc category its difficult. According to previous year cutoffs almost no chance is there. You can try for private colleges if you want. Check the details of various colleges to get a clearer idea .

Im resident of Goa,but did 10th ICSE from aurangabad school and 12th from state board aurangabad.Am I Eligible for Maharashtra state quota?

Yash Dev Student Expert 10th May, 2019
As much I know about Domicile quota then it's directly proportional to the place from where you did your class 12 so you aren't eligible for Maharashtra quota.

RUCHI RAJ 15th Jun, 2019

Hi Aarya. You have not mentioned the college in which you want to take admission and in which course. I am assuming that you are willing to take admission in a college for your graduation. Inorder to take admission you have to fulfill the criterias mentioned by the college. It changes from college to college. It would be nice of you if you provide more details in your question.

Sir my general rank is 18341 and sc rank is 889.Can I get ICSE or EE in IET Lucknow college?

Dheeraj Pramod Naik 11th Jun, 2019
Hi Sajaldeep,
Hope you are doing well. You have scored exceptionally well and as you know that IET is one of the top institutions in Lucknow. As you belong to the SC category, it will not be a difficult task for you to get a seat in IET Lucknow for EE with this rank. But if you belonged to GM category, then it would not be possible. I hope you got the point after reading this answer.

All the best.

Pls suggest if board changing is a good option

Jasleen Kaur Taneja 31st May, 2019

Hello,

You need to sit with your child and identify the root cause of the problem. Why his performance started to decline? Is there something wrong with school? Or something in class that is disturbing? Also, you haven't specified anything about his performance in classes 9 and 10. Has the performance gradually been declining and you were ignoring the signs? Discuss with him why he's not studying and let him decide on which stream he wants to opt for? Even commerce and arts stream are not that easy. Let him take his own decision and you can guide him all along as it's only him who has to put in all the effort.

Hi,can you plz tell me that in ICSE BOARD i got 79.6% in commerce and my best four is 84%. kya mujhe DU mein admission mil sakta in gen.

Aryaman Tewari 29th May, 2019
Yes, definitely. 84 percent is not the best score for General but it's a decent enough score for you to get admission in Delhi University.

However, since you belong to General category, it won't be possible for you to get into North Campus, your desired colleges and courses. You will have to opt for a lower preferred course.

However, don't worry. Almost every course and faculty of DU is good, plus your score is decent enough. Good luck!
