Indian Institute of Technology
Hi
A KCET rank of 30,915 can still offer you a good range of options, especially under the state quota and depending on your category . While top government colleges like UVCE or RVCE may be slightly out of reach at this rank, there are still several good engineering colleges that accept ranks around this range for various branches, especially in core and emerging areas. Some of the colleges you might get into include Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, JSSATE, or Acharya Institute of Technology, in branches like Mechanical, Civil, EEE, or newer programs like AI & ML in less competitive colleges. Counseling plays a huge role here, and choice filling should be done smartly by analyzing previous year cutoff trends.

The Engineering Chemistry paper for ECET 2025 will test your understanding of fundamental chemistry concepts applied to engineering problems. While the actual 2025 paper will only be available after the exam, you can prepare by practicing previous years’ ECET Engineering Chemistry papers and mock tests. Common topics include atomic structure, chemical bonding, water technology, corrosion and its prevention, fuels and lubricants, polymers, electrochemistry, and environmental chemistry. ECET papers usually have multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with equal weightage for theory and numerical applications. The difficulty level is moderate, but time management is crucial. To get the 2025 paper after the exam, you can visit the official ECET website or trusted education portals .

Thank you,
Yes you can surely study medicine if you have the required subjects in class 12th to be eligible for the medical entrance exam .
The subjects required to be eligible are Physics, Chemistry and Biology in class 12th failing to have any one of the subjects, you cannot study medicine.
In short if you had PCMB or PCB in class 12th you are eligible and a mere PCM makes you ineligible for the same.
For the IMU CET 2025 , only your 12th-grade marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) are considered for eligibility — not your 11th-grade scores.
Educational Qualification : You must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in PCM .
English Proficiency : You should have secured at least 50% marks in English in either your 10th or 12th standard.
Age Limit : For General category males, the maximum age is 25 years as of August 1, 2025. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories and females.
Marital Status : For certain courses, candidates are required to be unmarried.
Medical Fitness : Candidates must meet the medical standards set by the Directorate General of Shipping, including specific eyesight and hearing requirements.
Since you have 67% in PCM in your 12th grade , you meet the PCM requirement. However, make sure you also have at least 50% in English in either your 10th or 12th standard to be fully eligible.
The 12th board marks calculation depends on the education board you are affiliated with. Some boards, like Karnataka PU Board, consider the average of four semesters, while CBSE and most state boards rely on final board exam performance.
If your board follows a semester system, weightage varies. For example, Karnataka's PUC weightage is I PU (20%) + II PU Midterm (20%) + II PU Final Exam (60%). Always check your board’s official guidelines.
Hope this helps you,
Thank you
