Hi

Admission in all the IITs including IIT Bombay  is on the basis of JEE advanced examination.

So if you want to get admission in IIT Bombay for engineering then you need to qualify JEE advanced examination and then on the basis of rank obtained by you in JEE advanced you will be allotted a seat in IIT Bombay

Now,

To be eligible for JEE advanced you need to clear JEE Mains examination first.

So for getting admission in IIT or joining IITs you need to clear JEE main first and then JEE advanced , the eligibility criteria for both the examination is given below:-

JEE MAINS

Eligibility criteria says that to be eligible for JEE mains 2021 for BE or Btech you just must be either appearing for 12th board exam or equivalent in 2021 or should have passed it in 2020 or 2019 with Physics, mathematics and anyone of Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject.

JEE ADVANCED

To be eligible you must qualify JEE mains and also need to pass your class 12th with at least 75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least 65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or must be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 examination.

If you manage to qualify JEE advanced then you can get admission in IIT Bombay on the basis of rank obtained by you in jee advanced examination by participating in jossa counselling

sir actually am not applied for the IIT and NIT counsling registration.now any chance to apply for the NIT and IIT registration.throung gate .

rajanavikas 9th Nov, 2020

Hi Aspirant,

Some colleges are posting opening of self sponsored seats in their websites. Please regularly visit college websites individually from time to time and apply for the necessary colleges accordingly. Recently IIITA has also opened self sponsored seats in their website. But in Self sponsored seats you will not be getting any stipend. Also you check for winter admissions in colleges like iit hyderabad, kharagpur etc. If nothing works out only other way would be to go for next year counselling with same score

I hope it helps you.

How to prepare for placements if Im not from NIT or IIT?

debolinadawn 9th Nov, 2020

Dear aspirant,

Hope you are doing well. As per your query it doesn't matter if you aren't from NIT or IIT as everyone studying should prepare for placements be it be campus placements or off campus placements. These are the few things you can keep in mind while you think about getting a placement.

1. Internships - Doing one or multiple internships in your interested arena will help you come in terms with the practical world of jobs which will rather help improve your cv and also gain field knowledge.

2. Certificate courses - Y ou can enhance your skills with free online courses such as MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) or short-term certification courses on technical skills. Gaining extra knowledge will help you when you are ready to join the job market or even launch your own company.

3. Aptitude test - Be very very thorough with your aptitude skills.

4. Last but not the least specialise in your interested area of your course in which you can be more than confident when questions will be asked.

what does a hec student get? like in bipc neet, mpc iit?

mr.sudhanshu94 8th Nov, 2020
Dear Aspirant ,

Those are basically, The acronym of subjects which are more prevalent and familiar with students of both the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telengana.

. MPC - Math, Physics, Chemistry.

. BPC - (Often as BiPC) Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.

.MBPC - Math, Biology, Physics, Chemistry.

.CEC - Commerce, Economics, Civics.

.HEC - History, Economics, Civics.

However most of the people in the same region take this in a different way, as

MPC - For clever and techies.

BPC - For rich.

MBPC - For Outstanding students.

CEC and HEC:- For those who passed 10th in a harder way.

Hope this information helps you ,

Thank you .

i got iit palakkad in 2020 but i withdrawal the seat to get better college, In withdrawal application unfortunately, i choose no for attempting for jee 2021 , can i write jee 2021 please tell me

pkp.inutail 18th Dec, 2020

Greetings,

There is no such restriction on you even if you fill a withdrawal form and claim to not reappear for the exam next year as such a rule would be outright preposterous and arbitrary. As long as you fulfil the rest of the eligibility criteria for JEE mains 2021, you are good to go.

after got a seat allotment in IIT , how to report this to respective IIT. In Josaa website no such information available. please guide in this regard.

Parmeshwar Suhag 8th Nov, 2020

Hello Student,

Usually when you are alotted a seat at some institute then they provide you reporting time . You have to report to that college on that date along with all your needed documents.

But this year due to covid-19 physical reporting to institutes is not going to happen . Candidates who are allotted seats will have to report online through login for completing all the formalities related to admission.

To know more about reporting at alotted centres you can use the link given below. All the info is provided here.

is there any restriction to participate in Jossa for an iit student next year if he wants to take admission agn

pkp.inutail 18th Dec, 2020

greetings,

Please rest assured that there are no restrictions from part of JOSAA for retaking the exam. (you get 3 opportunities for JEE mains and 2 for JEE advanced) As long as you fulfil the eligibility criteria you are good to go. Many students retake this exam each year, (even top IIT students) in hope of improving their ranks to get the desired branch or college so in that respect, putting restrictions would be counterproductive and such a decision will definitely face public backlash.

good luck if you plan on reappearing.
