which is the best educator of INORGANIC CHEMISTRY Vishal Joshi or vk Jaiswal of iitjee

S. Saha Student Expert 6th Nov, 2020
Choosing the best books for Jee Main is one of the most important thing. NCERTs are the best books for concept building and clarification. NCERTs are written in simple Language so it is helpful for the Aspirants. Once done with this, you can move on to Concise Inorganic Chemistry by JD Lee. This book is recommended by most of the Educators and toppers. For numericals, you follow Chemical Calculations by RC Mukherjee. Vishal Joshi or Cengage for Inorganic Chemistry is better compared to VK Jaiswal as this book contains a wide range of questions from each and every topics.
  • Other books that you can follow for Preparation
Organic Chemistry by O. P. Tandon
Physical Chemistry by O. P. Tandon
Concise Inorganic Chemistry by J. D. Lee
Organic Chemistry by Morrison and Boyd
Modern Approach to Chemical Calculations by R. C. Mukherjee

Transition Elements and Coordination Chemistry Periodic table and Representative Elements
Thermodynamics And Gaseous State
Chemical Bonding
Chemical And Ionic Equilibrium
General Organic Chemistry
Hydrocarbons

Around 40 % comes from physical, The weightage of the other two topics vaies every year. Generally, there is more weightage to Organic Chemistry.

What is the difference between physical organic and inorganic chemistry?

Shivam Khare 22nd Oct, 2020

Hello Dear Student,

Physical, Organic and Inorganic are the three major Branches of Chemistry.

The Difference between them are as following:

Physical Chemistry:

Physical Chemistry is the study of how matter behaves on a molecular and atomic level and how chemical reactions occur.

Components of Physical Chemistry:

  • Chemical Kinetics
  • Thermodynamics
  • Quantum Chemistry
  • Spectroscopy

Organic Chemistry:

Organic Chemistry is the Study of the Structure, properties and Reactions of Organic compounds, which contain Carbon in covalent bonding.

Components of Organic Chemistry:

  • Haloalkanes and Haloarenes.
  • Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers.
  • Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic acids.
  • Amines.
  • Biomolecules.
  • Polymer.

Inorganic Chemistry:

Inorganic Chemistry deals with synthesis and behavior of inorganic and organometallic compounds. This basically refers to the study of the chemical compounds that are not organic compounds.

Components of inorganic chemistry:

  • Industrial inorganic chemistry.
  • Coordination Compounds.
  • Main group compounds.
  • Transition metal compounds.
  • Organometallic compounds.
  • Cluster compounds.
  • Bioinorganic compounds.
  • Solid state compounds.

can I leave inorganic chemistry and still get 80/100 in chemistry in jee mains

priyanksaini318 25th Sep, 2020
Hi
It's necessary for you to be well versed with everything else than the inorganic portion to be able to get 80 out of 100 in chemistry. Inorganic is actually the easiest part of chemistry and also the most boring so leaving it out from your preparation is never the ideal choice.
Inorganic questions are easier to solve, least time consuming and are sort of questions which you either know or you don't. Hence I would advise you to cover few portions of inorganic syllabus which are given higher significance in exams and try build up your physical and organic portion which require lots of practice to get efficient in.
Chemistry is highly scoring and least time consuming of the three subjects, hence as a personal opinion i would not like leaving out on some easy pickings. It never depends on anyone's opinion on exam preparation but only on you as eventually you have to give the exam and get into some college of your choice through this exam. If you would be able to compensate for these lost marks by getting them in maths and physics then it's fine.
Hope this helps and good luck

Weightage of inorganic chemistry is quite good , you shouldn't skip this part.

total number of question is 12 in inorganic chemistry.

And all the topics have equal weight but just go through s , p , d ,f block and also go through atomic radius , electron affinity , electronegativity , ionization and electrode potential. if you have less time for study.
