maam is ut necessary to do phd in any one subject (pcm) or another subject for job in isro?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 18th May, 2020
Jaya, usually there are various profiles within ISRO and the eligibility criteria is different for each profile. You can join ISRO with a qualification of even B.Sc Physics as their Technician. Experienced roles might need Ph.D but roles like Engineer, Machine System, etc need an M.Tech. So.it depends on the role and the profile. But mostly B.Tech/M.Tech are enough.

maam thank you for your suggestion but can I work in isro after bsc physics

Bhawna Mehbubani 17th May, 2020

Dear Amarjeet, you can work in ISRO after completing your MSc in Physics.

For joining as ISRO Scientist -SC (entry level). basic education qualification that you need is Msc or Btech. Msc can be in Physics, chemistry or mathematics. So complete your MSc in Physics and apply here as an ISRO scientist.

After Bsc physics you can join as Technical Assistant. For working as a technical assistant you need a Diploma in Electronics and communication/Telecommunication engineering.

ISRO also allows you with an option of part-time/correspondence study, after completing Msc you can get promoted to Scientist-SC.

how can I enter in ISRO/DRDO, I done my bsc Zoology this year. ?? if not possible then where can I go? want something great

Bhawna Mehbubani 16th May, 2020

Divya, as i can see you want to join ISRO/DRDO basically something great like serving the country. Well, i would suggest, you can go for MBBS after BSc zoology, but you should not have crossed the age limit of 17-25 years.

If you are going for MBBS, you can apply at Armed Forced Medical College (AFMC), Pune. This is an armed force college where you would be trained to work as a doctor in the army. Check out the official website

https://www.afmc.nic.in/

You can also get into DRDO, as BSc Zoology falls under one of the educational qualifications for CEPTAM exam. You can apply and write for CEPTAM, if you qualify you can surely get into DRDO. You can check official website for further notice

https://www.drdo.gov.in/ceptam-notice-board

For joining ISRO, you educational qualification should be BSc or MSc is Physics, Chemistry or Maths only.

I hope this helps you!
