Aditi amrendra Student Expert 12th Jul, 2020
Hello,

If you have applied for JRF CSIR- UGC NET examination as an EWS candidate then you will be considered as ews candidate and you will have to show your valid document proofs too.
Incase if you don't have it or if it expires and you are facing delay in getting it then you can use an acknowledgment receipt or an affidavit.

I hope this helps.

can I do PhD without qualifing jrf?

Soumili Majumdar 2nd Jul, 2020
Hello there,
Yes, definitely you can pursue PhD without qualifying JRF, but you need to qualify the written tests and interviews of the respective Universities of Institutes. In this case, the entire expenses of pursuing PhD shall have to be borne by you unless you have a sponsor.

The advantage for qualifying JRF is that you will be sponsored as a scholar or a research fellow by the Government or the Institution for your entire period of PhD, which is highly praiseworthy. Nevertheless, you can pursue PhD without qualifying JRF, as well.

Hope this answer helps you.
Good luck!!

sir how to study for jrf and who r eligible for jrf exams

Pritam Singh 30th Jun, 2020

For JRF you need to clear UGC NET exam which is conducted twice in a year. For JRF candidate should be below 30 years and thus the competition is high. Check the previous year questions and patterns and then start prepare accordingly. Do give mocks from the official website also read newspaper daily for GK.
