Biomedical engineering syllabus

Burhan Khan 29th Nov, 2019

Hello Gilsha!

Not sure which university syllabus you are asking for, but basic syllabus for biomedical engineering is:

Programming (C,C++,Java)

Pathology, Microbiology, Human Physiology and Anatomy

Electronic and circuits papers

4 Semesters of Mathematics

Mechanics of implants and hospital machines

Hospital training and management

Biomedical engineering is a bridge between the medical and engineering field,doctors may know how to operate machines in hospital but they don’t know how to fix problems regarding machines.

All the best!

Hope this helps!

i have PCB can i pursue biomedical engineering?

Apoorva Student Expert 24th Nov, 2019

Hello dear student,

I understand your query that you want to pursue biomedical engineering and you had physics chemistry biology as your subject in your class 12th. so eligibility criteria depends upon many other factors as well while as per as your subjects are concerned you are eligible. As you need to to be appearing in your class 12th examination or you should have passed your class 12th examination from recognised Central board or state board with at least 50% marks in physics chemistry and biology / maths as your major subjects of study. While for reserved category student the percentage goes down to 40 or 45% depending upon the college as the eligibility criteria varies from college to college. I hope this was helpful

Best wishes
