Jute and Fiber Technology
Hello aspirant,
These are the subjects of biomedical engineering-
Biofluid mechanics
Biomedical Image processing
Biophotonics
Medical informatics and telemedicine
Principles of diagnostic and therapeutic equipments
Biomaterials
Biomedical Nanotechnology
Computational Neuroscience
Methods for medical diagnostics
Tissue engineering.
No, it doesn't have maths.
Dear Aspirant,
They have no similarities what so ever.
They are both very different field of studies.
Biotechnology is more of biology, genomics and bioinformatics.
While Biomedical engineering is more of electronics and coding.
Biomedical engineering is same as electronics engineering. Don't be fooled by the words. But the difference is here we apply technology to solve health complications, which I find very intriguing. And this industry is really growing very fast.
Google, Amazon all now want to hop on the medtech bandwagon.
So yeah, rest is upto you.
Don't chase money. It's gonna come either way. Look for what you'd enjoy doing more in the future!
Thank You.
Hii,In order to get into BioMedical Engineering, you dont have to study Biology in your XII grade! For Engineering only your cutoff matters! No matter it is from Biology /Computer Science.
BioMedical Engineering deals with integrating Engineering approaches and methodlogies to solve problems in Medical field.
From Graduation prospective, you would be studying 50–60% of Electrical and Electronics , 10–15% of Medical (Basics of Anatomy,Physiology,Biochemistry,Microbiology,Pathology), 10–15% - Computer Science (Basics Programming, Database), 10–15% - Mechanics (BioMechanics),20% - Enginneering Mathematics.
Main objective is to aid to improve the quality of life by innovating/servicing and maintaining Biomedical therapeutic applications and medical instruments. Not limited to Medical instruments also aids in artificial organ/tissue transplantation, telemedicine equipment, Bio material development.
Hope it helps!

Hi
We understand your concerns. But your rank might not be sufficient to seek admissions in biomedical engineering in College of engineering, Guindy. However, you might try for mechanical engineering and civil engineering in the institute. And you might get this branch in PSG College of Technology - PSGCT , Coimbatore also.
Hope this helps!!!
