Hi
It is better not to study the very new topics in last minute. Revise the topics already covered thoroughly. If you have some short notes or something go through it. Do not overstress yourself and keep the calm. Solve some mock tests or previous year question papers and make yourself confident. Work on your time management.
hope this helps.
all the best.
Hi,
I hope you are doing well!
KVPY SX stream syllabus includes concepts of Physics, Math, Chemistry and Biology till Class 12 . KVPY SX aspirants need to finish class 11 and 12 syllabus before November .
Since there is no unit and topic based prescribed syllabus, KVPY SX stream aspirants can study from NCERT books and IIT JEE (NEET for Biology) coaching material.
KVPY SX/ SB exam has two parts. In Part-I, there will be 80 questions (20 each of PCMB), a student has to attempt only 3 subjects questions i.e. 60 questions. In Part-II, there will be 40 questions (10 each of PCMB), a student has to attempt only 2 subjects questions i.e. 20 questions.
Choose any three subjects you’re strong in. In that two should be extremely strong. Chemistry and Biology are scoring subjects.

To resolve this confusion, first you need to understand the basic difference between the fields of Research and Engineering.
Research is the phenomenon of the systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions. It's main objective is to explore and discover new remarkable facts that have been unknown and seeked throughout centuries. So, here you would have to do multiple experiments and find out different things of the universe. This field requires immense patience and perseverance
Engineering is the the branch of science and technology concerned with the design, building, and use of engines, machines, and structures. It is based on the known facts of the universe and is used to improve human life on earth and make it more efficient. In this field, you need to have innovative ideas and problem solving skills to tackle everyday problems of the world
Dear pinnoji Sandeep,

Here I am providing you the 2020 KVPY cutoff list for IISC Bangalore:
Hope this helps.
Good Luck.
Both the exams patters are very different and depend on the students what they thunk about the paper. KVPY aptitude test is lower than JEE Mains. Whereas the the maths of KVPY is way more tougher than JEE mains. You can crack KVPY by following NCERT books but on the other hand JEE Mains require somewhat higher level of preparation than NCERT. One more thing is that Kvpy has an interview round also. KVPY and JEE test the candidates knowledge on different levels.Only students having a strong base can answer these questions. The selection rate of KVPY is 1.8% only. KVPY is meant for testing an individuals basics and research aptitude while JEE Main requires more bookish knowledge and formula application skill.
Hey!
Cracking KVPY exam after preparing for a month is a tough task but not impossible. Cracking the exam relies on your abilities. Since not much time is left, do not go for very complex questions which you haven't been aquainted with before. Concentrate on the basics first of each subject. Take as many practice exams as possible. Examine the previous year's papers and practice similar sorts of problems again and again. Get to know the marking scheme as well. Practice the most repaeated kind of questions as you don't have time to go for the entire syllabus. Make sure you are clear with the basics.
All the best!
Hello aspirant,
There cannot be a direct comparison between KVPY and JEE mains. KVPY is more of an application and research based exam which thoroughly tests your understanding and application of learnt concepts. KVPY is an exam for encouraging the students aspiring for career as scientists and researchers. Whereas, JEE mains exam is to test the basics of the concepts and formula applying ability of the student. Its quite easier as compared to KVPY and as it is for engineers, its testing methodology also differs. However, to be precise enough, KVPY exam has a level between JEE Mains and Advanced.
