Do we have to study 11th and 12th NCERT both for kvpy SA stream?

Himanshu Student Expert 14th Jul, 2021

Hello,i am here to help you according to your query.

As according to me It depends on person to person.

Without any doubt if NCERT done well can beat no other material but there are certain simple questions put in a complex manner that students are unable to understand. That is the reason where guides can be useful.

There is no need to go for expensive material. Try online and offline mocks and analyse your performance, your strength and weak areas etc.

Considering the whole, you will not need the other reference/coaching material.

Hope,this information helpful to you.

Karvannan sevugamurthi 18th Aug, 2021

Hi,

Based on the KVPY website, Agriculture is not mentioned there. So, you can directly mail the KVPY officials to confirm it. You can do basic sciences to get KVPY fellowship. Those subjects are,

  1. Chemistry
  2. Physics
  3. Mathematics
  4. Statistics
  5. Biochemistry
  6. Microbiology
  7. Cell biology
  8. Ecology
  9. Molecular biology
  10. Botany
  11. Zoology
  12. Physiology
  13. Biotechnology
  14. Neurosciences
  15. Bioinformatics
  16. Marine biology
  17. Geology
  18. Human biology
  19. Genetics
  20. Biomedical sciences
  21. Applied physics
  22. Geophysics
  23. Material science
  24. Environmental science

You can choose anyone of the subject based on your interest. Related to Agriculture, you can study ecology or Environmental science or Botany. Biotechnology and genetics also provide knowledge about advanced techniques in agriculture. If you gat a seat in Agriculture counseling, take it and do Agriculture. you can get more experience and you can apply for other fellowships also.

Hope it helps.

hello. I am studying in class XI now with PCMB combination. will I be eligible for the SA exam next year if I drop my class XI this year( 2021). I wish to appear for class XI next year due to some personal problems.

Nikita 8th Aug, 2021

Hello Student,

Yes, you can pursue your 11th class next year but you cannot continue next year's class with this session but you have to file an enrollment for your 11th class again with full annual fee and other payable amounts to take admission. Once your enrollment in 11th class is done, you can give the exams again and continue with your classes.

All the best!

What books to read for kvpy ?? I am in class 11.

Abhishek Roy 1st Jul, 2021

First chalk out the Syllabus of KVPY SA or SX whichever youre Targetting and start referring to your JEE/NEET Preparation Material for the relevant chapters. Once youre done with the Syllabus you may seriously Solve the Previous Years Papers of KVPY, Analyze the Questions and Solutions and make notes. Try revising these before the exam besides finalizing on a Exam Preparation strategy. You may even consider Test series for KVPY from some of the Edtech Platforms like Toppr etc.

I got 401 rank in kvpy in which colleges can I get seat for engineering courses?

ktarakadivvya 10th Aug, 2021
Hi Aspirant,

It is hard to say in which colleges you can get admission based on your KVPY rank. The chance of getting admission depends on various factors like competition, seats availablity and desired branch etc.

These are some of the colleges you can get admission based on your merit in KVPY exam:

  1. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Trivandrum
  2. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali
  3. CV Raman Global University, Bhuvaneshwar
  4. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune
  5. Indian Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad
  6. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal
  7. Indian Institute of Science, Banglore

You can apply for these colleges in their official admission portals under KVPY rank. After applying, you can check the merit list of that respective college to know your possibility in getting admission.

You can also check this link to know more details about IISER merit list and cut-off:
