what if a dob of a candidate is 23rd March 1997 and from a obc category, will he or she be applicable to give NEET 2022 and will be eligible to attend counseling?

sangam.nandhini 14th Aug, 2021

Hey,

The national eligibility cum entrance test (NEET) is a national level pre medical test. So according to the official eligibility criteria, any student who is minimum of 17 years can attend and there is no upper age limit to write NEET. if your doubt was whether you can write NEET for your age then it's a YES. you are eligible and you can attend NEET 2022.

Hope you got your answer.

Thank you.

I secured 98.4 percentile in jee Mains Feb Attempt,99.2 in March Attempt and 99.89 in July attempt . So after all the 4 sessions are over which percentile will be considered for calculating the CRL ? Please answer as soon as possible !

Anurag Khanna 13th Aug, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

99.89 percentile will be considered for your final result and all the admission which you will take because it is the maximum percentile among all your attempts so if you are not going to appear for upcoming session of JEE-Main 2021 then 99.89 percentile would be the final percentile for you and your rank will also be made on the basis of only this percentile.

For more in-depth detail just check ' How the final result will be calculated for those who are appearing for more than one attempt of JEE-Main 2021 ' :-

> The best out of four JEE Main scores will be taken into consideration for final result.

> All India rank in JEE Main 2021 will be allotted to you on the basis of your best of four percentiles. Let me make you clear with an example of yours, you have got 98.4 percentile in first attempt, 99.2 in second and 99.89 in third, so your final result will be made by taking the best result which is of 99.89 percentile so your final percentile would be 99.89 and ranking will be given to you according to it.

> As per your category, if you belongs to any reserved category then you will have CRL (Common Rank List) Rank as well as category rank of your respective category.

The final result will get declared after JEE Main May session(session-4).

What is address line 1 and address line 2? If my ncl was issued before 31st March will du cancel it?

Ashray Dhiman 20th Sep, 2021

Dear aspirant,

As per my understanding, I suppose that you're asking what do you have input in these two sections while filling the application form. You have to write your address (Permanent or Correspondence) in these sections so that the university knows where you're from.
To answer your second question, the OBC NCL certificate that you provide at the time of admissions should be of the current financial year. So what you can do is that you can apply for reissuance of the certificate from the concerned SDM and produce that during admissions.

In march attempt my jee percentile was 8.3 but in july attempt i have scored a percentile of 73.6 but my target is 95+ how can score in jee 2022 i want to take drop , sir can you give some tips and my wrost is maths can you tell some tips for maths and easy topics in maths :) Thanks

Tanmay V 11th Aug, 2021

Dear Aspirant,

See here are some of the important  and scoring topics for IIT JEE for all 3 subjects-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-important-topics-books

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/most-important-chapters-of-jee-main

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/important-topics-for-jee-main-and-advanced

For Maths,

See for Maths PRACTICE is necessary but also you need to learn from your mistakes and rectify them.

After each and every mock test try to analyze it, see what mistakes you did, which question took longer time, which questions you could not attempt, try to figure out your weak areas.

You may also a separate note of all mistakes in mock test , so that you don't  repeat those.

For Maths theory is equally important with solving questions.

If you have a good grasp of theory you'll understand the problem very well, hence  finding the solution.

It happens to many students that the solution doesn't strike immediately, but for this you need to develop the particular aptitude & temperament.

For this try to solve variety of  problems , first go through solved examples  and then solve  some questions.

Refer RD Sharma for IIT JEE book (Vol 1 & Vol 2)

Try if you can find out some of your own ways of approach to similar kind of problems.

Also when you are doing some practice problems on a daily basis , try to do them with timer, have small targets that you have to complete this many problems in 30 mins or 1 hour or whatever feels achievable. This will counter your time pressure problem in Exam.

im in bba 2nd year right now next yr ill give cat exam 2022 thn result validity is march 2023 n till thn i might not be able to complete my bba degree so can i get admission in iim ? provisional admission?

Akshita Dhiman 10th Aug, 2021

Hi there,

Firstly, final year students or candidates who have passed their bachelor's degree with at least 45- 50 per cent marks are eligible to apply for CAT. As you are in 2nd year as of now, you cannot apply. Yes, you can apply in 2022. If you are applying next year make sure your latest semester score is not less than 50 percent.

Also, yes there is a provision for provisional admission at IIM's. In case a final year's student result is awaiting they need to get a certificate from the HOD or registrar or director of the university that the student is currently in final year and their result is waiting. Also the certificate has to mention the candidate has at least 50 percent marks in the latest semester or exam. If you are selected you will be provisionally admitted to the institute. Once you submit your marksheets and passed certificate ( or bachelor's degree completion certificate) your admission will be confirmed.

In case of any queries, please revert in the comments section below.

I hope this information helps!

Thank you

Anurag Khanna 9th Aug, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

As the cut-offs for this year are not out yet so it is but difficult to tell you whether you will qualify for JEE-Advance or not but based on the analysis of previous year's cut-off trends we can help you with the expected qualifying cut-offs for this year :-

  • Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95 Percentile
  • GEN-EWS - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50- 55 Percentile
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 40- 45 Percentile
  • PwD - 1-2 Percentile

So as per the expected cut-offs you hold good chances to get qualified for JEE-Advance 2021

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2021 but expected on the basis of previous year's analysis. You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

Aman Mishra 17th Sep, 2021

Hello,

As you know that NIT Silchar is one of the prestigious NIT in India and also it has a great academic records hence, a lot of students prefer it now as seeing your marks saying about your admission is not easy as your rank general rank will fall above 2 to 2.5 lacs but definitely your category rank will be little good hence, you can try for admission but for some medium branches only because there competition is low and in top branches there is a huge competition which will make your work more difficult. So get your rank first using rank predictor and the link for it is given below:

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

After this just compare it with colleges you are looking for also with the one which you have mentioned above and try to know your possible chance of getting admission and you can also use another link to check colleges where you have chance of getting admission:
