Structural Engineering is usually considered the most preferred stream in Civil Engineering  for M.Tech. because it is one of the core subjects. Then follows transportation, environmental, GT.

1. Networking and communication(salery high but very less intake)
2. RD engineers in opto electronics micro wave electronics (same as above)
3. RD engineers in VLSI design (more oppurtunity very decent high pays)
4. RD Engineers in Embedded system (very good oppurtunities but decent pays)
5. Assistant professors in any college (less oppurtunity for good college, requires ph.d to have very decent salery)
6. RD engineers in avionics mechatronics and automobile (very very less intake but decent saleries)
7. Govt jobs as graduate trainee as well as RD positions (requires GATE or ESE, whatever branch u choose doesnt matter much but have decent saleries.)
