Following your book is helpful for the neet

Bhawana Kumar 8th Mar, 2025

Following your books is definitely helpful for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) preparation, but it is essential to use the right books and study strategically. Here’s how you can make the most out of your books while preparing for NEET:

  1. NCERT Books are a Must – The NCERT textbooks for Biology, Physics, and Chemistry (Class 11 & 12) are the most important study materials for NEET. Almost 85-90% of NEET questions come directly from NCERT concepts, especially in Biology.

  2. Use Reference Books for Practice – While NCERT is crucial for theory, reference books help in problem-solving and application-based questions. Some recommended books are:

    • Biology: Trueman’s Biology, Objective Biology by Dinesh
    • Physics: Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma, DC Pandey (NEET series)
    • Chemistry: Physical Chemistry by O.P. Tandon, Organic Chemistry by Morrison & Boyd
  3. Solve Previous Year Papers & Mock Tests – Along with studying books, solving past 10 years’ NEET question papers is essential. Mock tests improve speed, accuracy, and exam temperament. Websites like NTA, Careers360, and Aakash provide good test series.

  4. Make Short Notes for Quick Revision – Highlight important formulas, reactions, and key concepts while reading. Creating short notes will help in last-minute revision before the exam.

  5. Stick to Limited Books & Revise Multiple Times – Avoid referring to too many books as it may lead to confusion. Stick to one or two books per subject and revise at least 3-4 times before the exam.

  6. Follow a Study Plan – Create a structured daily study schedule covering all subjects, including theory, numerical problems, and revision. Allocate at least 6-8 hours per day for preparation.

  7. Solve NCERT-Based MCQs – Many tricky NEET questions are directly based on NCERT language. Practicing NCERT-based MCQs from books like MTG Fingertips and Objective NCERT can be very useful.

  8. Stay Consistent & Take Care of Health – NEET is a competitive exam that requires continuous effort . Maintain a balanced routine , take breaks, and ensure good health to stay focused.

How to start class 12 with NEET preparation

kumardurgesh1802 7th Mar, 2025

Hello Amit,

To start Class 12 with NEET preparation, follow these steps:

  1. Plan a Study Schedule : Divide time for Class 12 syllabus and Class 11 revision (at least 2-3 hours daily for Class 11).

  2. Follow NCERT Thoroughly : NCERT is the base for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Master all concepts and diagrams.

  3. Join a Coaching/Online Course (If Needed) : If self-study feels tough, consider coaching or online classes.

  4. Make Short Notes : Write key points, formulas, and diagrams for quick revision.

  5. Practice MCQs Daily : Solve NEET PYQs, mock tests, and question banks regularly.

  6. Focus on Weak Areas : Identify topics where you struggle and revise them frequently.

  7. Take Full-Length Mock Tests : At least one test per week to build exam temperament and time management.

  8. Stay Consistent : Avoid burnout, stay motivated, and revise regularly.

Balance Class 12 board studies with NEET preparation to avoid last-minute stress.

heyy...i messed up my neet fingerprint like i had only uploaded my thumb impression will it be ok?

kumardurgesh1802 6th Mar, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Don’t worry too much. If you accidentally uploaded only your thumb impression instead of the required fingerprints, it might not be a major issue .

What You Can Do:

  1. Check if NTA provides a correction window – Sometimes, they allow document corrections.

  2. If no correction is allowed , there’s a chance they will verify your fingerprint during the exam. Just carry your original ID proof for verification.

  3. Reach out to NTA through their official helpline or email to confirm if any action is needed.

Usually, minor mistakes like this don’t lead to disqualification, but it’s best to stay updated with NTA notifications.

I have filled my neet 2025 form with my old aadhar card having old photo.but my aadhar card photo is 9 yeard old (now i am 20) if i apply for aadhar card photo update then will it cause any issue at the center? What if it take too long to get updated aadhar card photo what shoul i do on exam day?

Ankit 6th Mar, 2025

If you have used an Aadhaar card with an old photo for your NEET 2025 application and later update it, there should be no issue as long as your personal details remain unchanged. If the updated Aadhaar does not arrive in time, bring your original Aadhaar, another government-issued photo ID (such as a passport or driving license), and any additional identity proof on exam day. Also, keep a copy of the Aadhaar update request receipt. To avoid any problems, check NEET’s official guidelines or contact the exam authorities for confirmation.

I m a neet 2025 aspirant i m studying from old ncert is there any major change in the revised ncert ?? Should i purchase revised ncert or is it fine to study from the old one??

Ankit 6th Mar, 2025

As a NEET 2025 aspirant studying from old NCERT books, you should check if there are significant changes in the revised editions. While the core concepts remain the same, updated NCERT books may include new examples, revised explanations, or slight modifications in content. To be sure, compare both versions or check official updates. If the changes are minor, your old NCERT should be sufficient, but for better accuracy, you can refer to the latest edition. If possible, supplement your studies with reliable online resources or coaching materials.
