Hi Mir Sarfaraz
Every student goes through this problem of finding a right book for IMU CET preparation. Right after filling up form and until the day of exam you will keep searching on internet , there is not even a single book available and i really mean it.
So how to prepare for IMU CET exam ?
Best answer is that you pick up a good english book that includes topics verbs noun , pronoun , synonyms , antonyms and for physics and chemistry study NCERT with some reference book. You actually dont need to buy any seperate book for this exam just study the books you had while preparing for class 12 boards that would be more than sufficient.
All the best !!
Hope it helps :)
NCERT is gold mine for biology .almost 95% question comes from ncert but the main problem is there is vast syllabus so that most of the student forget the importamt material regarding exam. my advice is to highlight the importamt points that you are not remember easily.
..have a good day
Hello,
Right now you're only in 11th standard and you've got ample amount of time to prepare and appear for UPSC, it's good that you've initiated towards the preparation process with NCERT books but make sure to focus more on your studies because that's a priority for you right now. Anyway, in case of UPSC it takes one year to prepare and another one to go through the process of examination. I feel the best time for you will be during your graduation period.
UPSC Civil Service Exam consists of three level- Preliminary Mains Interview Preliminary numbers are not added in the final list, you just need to score the required cut offs against your category. It mainly consists of GS Paper-I and CSAT. Both consists of 200 marks, MCQs based. Mains is more of a subjective type, one needs to write answer for Four General Studies Paper,Two Optionals, One Essay, two language paper, there are total nine papers here. 250 marks for each paper, total is 1750 As I mentioned the biggest advantage you have right now is time and if you use it wisely, it'll help you succeed in the time to come. You can go through the gradual steps as mentioned below for preparation of UPSC during your graduation period: Be well acquainted with UPSC Syllabus, learn it by heart, that's the most crucial step to crack this exam, to know what to read and what to skip. In addition to this, never ever make a differentiation between prelims and mains, what I mean is do not prepare separately for each, because nowadays what's happening is even in prelims, UPSC frame questions based on Mains syllabus, So, the first towards preparation shall be a combined preparation for both. Read any newspaper like The Hindu, or Indian Express on a regular basis to be updated as well as gaining knowledge which shall be highly useful to you in future exam preparation part. After going through NCERT books as you progress, move on to other relevant books, keep your resources minimum like Polity by Laxmikanth, History of Modern India by Bipin Chandra etc. Start practicing answer writing in advance, even in a little way, writing mains is a huge task for nine paper, it requires immense practice along with knowledge. Practice previous year question paper which you can get from the site of UPSC,in addition mock papers, and test series which you can get it from any of the sites extensively dedicated to UPSC, , it's highly important to evaluate your performance while doing so. Prelims is mcq based, but still it requires knowledge coupled with speed, and for mains, as I already mentioned the importance of answer writing.
Hi chumlee,
Yes you are thinking in right direction but you need one more addition to it. Every day solve one previous year paper for both subjects and analyse those points where you get stuck. While solving a question paper set an alarm for 3 hours and ensure that there are no distraction. Adhere to this rule and once your time gets over analyse your answers with the given one.
This will help you to know where you are lacking. Write these points make a mental note about it. Take a break and then go through these points.
If you stick to this schedule then I am sure enough you'll be able to revise most of the syllabus.
All the best!
You college has given you the prescribed book list for different subjects. follow those as first priority, then look for other books. on the part of getting marks, it depends on you how much you have learned, understood and have the skill to solve a numerical given to. No matter how many book you read, if you don't understand and know what is happening , you won't be able to score well.
So learn, understand and solve numericals. refer books and have patience to everything. it is will hard at first as they will feel boring but do solve it at any cost.
Hope it helps!

There are many books in the market for BHU UET. But while buying books, you should always remember to check if the book has previous question papers and sample papers attached. Check for the latest addition and also check if you can understand the language easliy. For Physics, Chemistry and Biology group, NCERT Books will be enough. Also you can study from Arihant Experts publications. Please check the BHU UET syllabus at:

Dear aspirant
You should make sure what they have asked for, thumb impression or thumb photo. Definitely they will reject it, if they didn't get what they want. So better you call them and make your query clear with them or send your thumb impression again to them.
