ONLY 12TH PASS CERTIFICATE IS SUFFICIENT FOR ADMISSIONS IN NIT IIIT GFTI 2020P IS THIS NEWS IS CORRECT

Ayush 17th Sep, 2020
Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.

As per your question, yes this news is correct that you heard about jee eligibility criteria . As per NTA guidelines, they decided to remove the 75 percent marks eligibilty criteria for getting admission in IITs, Nits, GFTIs for this year. As they got many query regarding preparation and scoring all for 12th in this pandemic so they had decided to remove this eligibility criteria for this year only due to this corona pandemic. But this don't mean that you don't have to score good marks in jee, you have to score good marks and percentile to get into top Institutes.

For more information regarding admission procedure and all you can visit their officials website for further updates.

Hope this helps you out. Thank you.

What is the latest news about IIT Eligibility from state board? I cant understand that "states first 20 percentile are eligible to the advanced exam". Could anybody explain me with charity.

S. Saha Student Expert 18th Jul, 2020
Along with qualifying Jee Main, there is another criteria for being eligible for Jee Advanced and that is the candidates must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in Class 12. 5% relaxation in marks for Sc, St and pwd candidates.Or the candidates should be within top 20 percentile of their respective Class 12 boards. And top 20 percentile means that you are ahead of 80% of the people of your respective board. The subjects considered to calculate these marks are - PCM, a language with highest score, another subject other than these four where you have got highest marks. But this year it's different. As all the subjects of class 12 of several boards have not conducted and marks have been provided on the basis of internal assessment and previous exam marks, many students have affected by these. So this year, the criteria of at least 75% or top 20 percentile has been scrapped and among all 2,50,000 candidates who have passed 12th examination will be eligible to sit for Jee Advanced 2020. why to read a newspaper if you can readily get the months news at one place?

pdwords Student Expert 14th Jul, 2020
Hello,

The benefit of reading newspaper on a daily basis to be well-acquainted with the latest happening, and when it comes to editorial part your thinking horizon will further be broaden by prolific writers, this will improve your vocabulary as well as writing  skills.

Now, why newspaper is important because when you read it regularly you are already grasping knowledge, so if you go through latest MCQs you can easily answer that because you'll remember it well as you've absorbed the information while what happens when you mug up everything at once, especially at the last stage of any exam, there's higher chances of forgetting and mixing up everything more so if your retaining power isn't that good.

The best thing to do in this is to have an integrated approach, what I mean is irrespective of the exam you're preparing go through the newspaper first, and solve MCQs after that, there are many sites which provides questions on a daily basis.

Newspaper reading is something that takes time to develop even if you're not preparing for exam like UPSC, where there's more number of hours to be devoted, reading an editorial itself can be challenging simply because of the kind of vocabulary used, but with patience and dedication anything is possible.
