The decision about NEET and JEE Mains 2020 will take a little longer than expected. Because there are many factors that need to be considered. There might be Candidates who must have tested positive, who are in containment zones and there are also places where transport has also been suspended. Considering all these factors and taking a call on NEET and JEE Mains will take a while. Meanwhile the parents of Candidates who were supposed to be appearing for NEET 2020 from Middle Asia and NRIs have filed a case in the Supreme Court to either postpone NEET or set up examination centres in the Middle East. But then MHRD and NTA did inform that conducting NEET abroad is not possible. And also parents have sent a request to the MHRD to postpone both NEET and JEE Mains keeping in mind the ongong hike in the Positive Corona Cases. The HRD also needs to consult the Health Ministry for taking a decision. So we still need to wait to hear from them. Today being Thursday, we might have some news this week or the next week. Now once a case is filed in the Supreme Court, there will be reviews and decisions taken and we may have to wait for few more days.
TS EAMCET has been postponed. And so the admit cards scheduled for release on July 1st have been deferred until further notice. The latest information that we have is that CBSE exams have been cancelled. The CBSE exams that have been scheduled for July 1st to 5th have been cancelled as per CBSE's decision. The same has been conveyed to the Supreme Court as well. Students have an option to appear in the examination only if they wish to. But if they do not wish to appear for the examination, then their performance in the last 2 examinations will be considered to grant them marks. And CBSE informed the Supreme Court its assessment scheme. According to that, those students who have completed all their CBSE exams will be assessed based on their performance in the exams. Those who appeared for more than 3 or more subjects the average of the marks secured in the best of the 3 will be given to those subjects for which exams have not been conducted. And those students who have written just 1 or 2 subjects, the results will be declared on the basis of their internal, practical or project assessments for the subjects they haven't written the examinations. And if students want to appear for the exams, they can do so when they are conducted. ICSE might have a slightly changed model and Supreme Court has agreed to that. And amid all this the Centre has not taken any decision regarding NEET and JEE Mains scheduled for July. The HRD also needs to consult the Health Ministry for taking a decision. So we still need to wait to hear from them. Today being Tuesday, we might have some news this week or the next week.
