can I give jee mains and take admission in nit next year.. I m a first year student in one of the iits

S. Abhishek Sagar 16th Dec, 2020
Hello aspirant.

Yes, you can actually attempt JEE mains once again, after you qualify with a good rank and marks you can get into the desired NIT through JoSSA counseling. As a candidate can attempt JEE mains maximum of 6 times in three consecutive years. Thus you can attempt once again and join as a fresher in the desired NIT through JoSSA counseling after qualifying for JEE mains 2021. Also, application forms for the JEE mains 2021 examination have been released and the last date to submit the firm is 15 January 2021.

But I guess IIT can give you more exposure and good career opportunities than NIT. But if you are genuinely facing a serious problem then you can prefer to attempt JEE mains once again and go for the desired NIT.

Hope this answer helps you.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 16th Dec, 2020

Hello,

You have not mentioned whether your query is regarding TS ECET or AP ECET. Nevertheless, if you belong to BC/EBC/PWD/Minority with parent's annual income up to one lakh or if you belong to SC/ST with parent's annual income up to two lakhs then you will be eligible to get fee reimbursement even there is one year gap in your education. You should fulfill the above eligibility criteria.

sir I have attended for first phase and I alloted a seat and am not interested to join in that clg and should I attend fir next phase without paying tution fee

iammohdshareef 15th Dec, 2020
If you aren't interested in the alloted College then you need not pay any kind of fees. You Can just cancel your admission or skip the confirmation letter and  apply in the next counseling.

If in case server isn't showing the option to skip then inform in the alloted College to cancel your admission. Once the admission gets cancelled you can apply in the next counseling.

You are definitely eligible for jee if you are appearing for your board examination this year. To crack jee mains and to he eligible for jee advanced you would have to score a certain percentile. This percentile depends on the category to which the students  belong and also varies from year to year. Qualifying marks for GEN category (common rank list) students was 89.75 for GEN (EWS category) was 78.21, for OBC-NCL wa 74.31, for SC was 54, 44 for ST & 0.11371730 for PWD candidates in the previous year.

I am from mumbai, Maharashtra and im trying to get admission in FYJC science. Ive got 78% in SSC which is not a poor percentage but even after 3 merit list rounds, I did not get online admission in any of the colleges. what should I do next?please tell me if offline admission is possible in mumbai

Ayush 16th Dec, 2020

Hi Candidate,

In Maharashtra, FYJC is a term simply used for First-Year Junior Colleges which actually means to class 11th and class 12th or Senior Secondary years in several schools and colleges.

The Admission into the First Year junior Colleges mostly depends on the percentage of marks obtained in class Xth Board Examinations, and some Colleges even conduct their Entrance Test for Admission. Search for colleges which accept candidates with 75% marks, as different colleges have different Criteria for Admission.

Have a Good Day.
