hi I am a science student just passing class 12th but got less marks in pcm so can I repeat class 12 from nios without changing my subjects?

ashitabaksi04 26th Jun, 2022
Hello student.
Yes, you can apply to NIOS or National Institute of Open Schooling since you haven't got decent grades in your 12th boards. Anybody who is above 15years of age and has passed 10th grade is eligible to apply. You can thus go ahead and enrol yourself.

can I give jee exam at the age of 25 if i cleared nios board exam at 25 i also passed 12 standard at the age 17 in biology i want to appear in NIOS 12 board exam in math then i am eligible to jee

thakurvishesh1 25th Jun, 2022

Unfortunately not. According to the criteria of JEE Main, a candidate is only eligible if he/she has passed the class XIIth board for the first time within 3 years of passing out. For example, if you have cleared class XII board exams for the first time in 2015, then you can give JEE Main only in 2015, 2016 and 2017, you can give JEE Advanced only in 2015 and 2016 as JEE Advanced requires to give exam within 2 years of passing out. So, according to this, you cannot legally give JEE Main now.

All the best!

HII SIR, I had completed my 12th commerce with 89.2 percent from ap board. But now I want to pursue MBBS. So I want to complete PCB from NIOS board. My question is completing PCB from NIOS will effect my 12th commerce certificate ? please answer me.

thakurvishesh1 25th Jun, 2022

Yes, definitely! It is a good thing that you want to pursue your interest and have decided to pursue PCB for MBBS. The thing is that if you pass your XIIth exam the second time with PCB, then it will NOT affect your class original class XIIth commerce certificate and you can still use both of your certificates as the situation demands.

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!

i have paid fees for nios exam in class 12 senior secondary but hear only show senior in class 10 please help how to change this

Tanya Gupta 9th Jul, 2022

Hey student,

Yes, you can definitely do so. NIOS board only conducts a class 12 exam. They do not have any examination for class 11. For being eligible to take the class 12 NIOS board exam you need to have a class 10 pass certificate and need to be at least 15 years of age.

All the best student,

Hope this helps you.

pass class12 science from nios .where can i do bsc nursing.

Arhana Chakraborty 24th Jun, 2022

Firstly, the NIOS 10+2 certificate is recognized by most of the colleges in India. So if you wish you can admission to most of the colleges in India (there can be few college which may not accept NIOS but this kind of colleges are very less). Apart from this, the NIOS students are eligible for the NEET and hence you can apply to any of the colleges in India which offers the admission to the course of BSc Nursing on the basis of the NEET score.

You can consider the article below for more information regarding the admission to the course of BSc Nursing through NEET-

I hope this helps. Wish you a great eve!

If I repeat my class 12th again from NIOS Board then will I be eligible for Jee Mains + Advanced Next Year ??? (I have already appeared in Jee Mains twice but never appeared in Jee Advanced even after qualifying)

Vishwathiga J 23rd Jun, 2022

Dear aspirant,

JEE advanced allows only one repeat exam. So, evethough you haven't written JEE Advanced already, you won't be eligible to write the exam next year. Yet, you can write JEE Mains again. The year you passed class 12 for the first time is considered as the first attempt and the next year is the second attempt.

Hope this helps.

Hello, I am from Telangana. I finished my B-tech and doing job ever since. I would like to pursue MBBS. I am not sure about the process. I have done Maths Physics and Chemistry in my 11th snd 12th. so my question is 1) Should I completely redo my 11th and 12th or Can I apply through NIOS ?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 21st Jun, 2022

Hi

In order to do MBBS you will have to clear neet and for that you need to be eligible for Neet .

Now,

You don't have Biology in your class 12 still no worries no need to repeat the class 11 and 12th rather what you need to do is just pass Biology as an aditional subject from NIOS and then you will become eligible for Neet examination

This is because,

The eligibility of students with Biology as an additional / optional subject  is in the supreme court but until it gives its judgement students, these students are eligible for neet

For your reference,

Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-

-------------------) Qualification required :-As per Neet eligibility to be eligible one must be either appearing for 12th board examination  or should have passed 12th board examination from any recognised board with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.

†††Important Note :- Students with Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement over it.

-------------------)  Percentage required :- You must get

  • at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category

  • at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

-------------------)  Age limit :-

  • Lower age limit:- to be eligible for neet  one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination .

  • Upper age limit :-There's no upper age limit for NEET. Earlier there was upper age limit  of 25 years which was pending in supreme court, on 9th march 2022 NMC in its notice has removed upper age limit. For details about it checkout :- https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-number-of-attempts-and-age-limit

--------------------) There's no attempt limit for neet.

For detailed information about neet examination eligibility go through our page for which link is provided below; -

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-eligibility-criteria

To help you further,

Here's how you can get admission in MBBS :-

------------------------------) Appear in Neet examination

------------------------------) Qualify neet examination. Qualifying cut off in neet is given below

  • General :- 50th Percentile

  • OBC:-  40th Percentile

  • SC :-40th Percentile

  • ST :-  40th percentile

To be on the safer side, out of 720 marks, target at least around 580 -630 marks for state quota seats and 650 marks in neet for All india quota seats if you belong to general category.

------------------------------) Participate in neet counselling. There are 2 counsellings -

  • Mcc counselling :- It is conducted for 15% AIQ seats, 100% Deemed Universities seats, Central Universities  seats (Delhi University, AMU & BHU ), 100% ESIC seats , AFMC  seats (only Registration Part) & I.P University (VMMC & SJH AND ABVIMS & RML & ESIC Dental, Delhi (15% AIQ + 85% Institutional Quota ) ,100% AIIMS seats & 100% JIPMER seats

Detailed information about counselling is available at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-seat-allotment

------------------------------) In the counselling, you can get a seat in a college on the basis of your rank in NEET examination and the category you belong to .

------------------------------) Then you have to report to the college and get your documents verified.

------------------------------) After document verification, finally you get admission in the college for mbbs.
