Yes, definitely you can write the NEET exam even after qualifying the 12th class from the open board (NIOS: National Institute of Open Schooling) .

>> You can apply under NEET code 2 as you have completed 12th from NIOS or if you have taken biology/biotechnology as additional subject.

>> Yes, while filling the application form it is required to fill the mandatory details, otherwise application will not be accepted.

With my rank in VITEEE 2022 I have a chance to get EEE, Electronics and Computer Engineering at VIT Chennai and CSE at VIT Bhopal. Which ine should I go for? Will it be better to take CSE at other Tier-3 college than this?

Aditi Singh 8th Jul, 2022

Well, as you might have known that VIT Bhopal has new campus and so the faculties might not be as good as compared to the Chennai campus, so I reckon you can go for ECE at VIT Chennai campus as it's campus is also more well developed and infrastructured than that of Bhopal campus. But at the same time, campus doesn't matter if you're willingly going to take the course you are interested in since one should not sacrifice it's course field to study further.

Plus, since VIT is a prestigious private college of India, all of it's faculties must be at their best and obviously they are. So you can easily go to any of the either colleges taking any of the courses you're willing to without any doubt.

All the best.

is it possible to score 90 +in nios board ? like in cbse . I have heard that nios board correction is more strict than CBSE board.

thakurvishesh1 1st Jul, 2022

All of these are nothing more than myths. If you are a good student and have diligently prepared for your examination whole year long, then there is no other external factor which can affect your percentage. So I would suggest you that take these myths and negative thoughts out of your mind and just prepare for your exams with full dedication and I'm sure that you will score 90+ in NIOS.

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!

is it possible for a student to give cbse improvement exam and nios board for different subject? does he/she will get two certificate of that ?

thakurvishesh1 6th Jul, 2022

Yes, it is definitely possible. But the only condition is that a student cannot give exam simultaneously from both CBSE and NIOS, and the exams have to be in the different sessions.

Like if you have given the CBSE examination in 2018, then you can give NIOS only after 2018, which is 2019 onward. And yes, you'll get two certificates after qualifying both examinations. Hope I have answered your question. All the best!

Can I answer my board exam from NIOS if my aggregate % in PCB is less than 50%? Can I ans NEET? Will I have to ans all subjects or only pcb? and how my result will be calculated? Plzz ans my query as my board exam result is coming and Im stressed!

Karishma Sawhney 19th May, 2022

Hello aspirant,

The class 12 percentage required for NEET 2022 exam is separate for each category and can be listed as under. NEET eligibility marks in class 12 to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects

  • UR - 50%,

  • OBC/SC/ST - 40%,

  • PWD - 45%

Even if you appear as a private candidate next year, your PCB aggregate will be calculated according to your category. If you get less than the above-specified percentage, you will not be eligible to give the NEET exam.

Hope it helps!
