Government law college in odisha without CALT exam

mjaisinghani62 4th Apr, 2021

Hello aspirant

In order to take admission in the field of law  , one has to go through a minimum of 5 years of education. Also, the students who wish to pursue any one of the full-fledged law programs in India will have to clear at least one common Law Entrance either at the National, State or University level.

Most of the law colleges of India offer admissions through these entrance tests. However, there are options for students to get into a law programme without appearing for the national level law entrance tests such as CLAT, AIELET,AIBE, LSAT etc.

only certain states across India conduct state-level entrance tests, for example, Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh.

Then there are also the University-level law entrance tests which are specific to certain Universities that provide programes in law along with programmes in other disciplines as well. However, there are other options for the students to get into a law programme wherein the selection of the candidates is done on the basis of their merit. The merit can be calculated using various other methods that have been defined by those particular colleges or Universities.

I secured 79.986 percentile in jee main march 2021. which government college n in which branches in Odisha will i get?

Anurag Khanna 1st Apr, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

As you have not mentioned your category so considering it as general.

According to the mentioned percentile your rank is expected to be in the range of 204743 - 230161 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

So on such rank and category you have no chance to get any of the NITs/IIITs/CFTIs, so I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for state GFTIs or for private colleges like :-

Government College of Engineering, Kalahandi

Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Sambalpur

Parala Maharaja Engineering College, Berhampur

Or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/jee-main-coaching/?utm_source=%20QnA

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-off (expected) for JEE-Advance 2021 from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

if a student cracked iiser aptitude test n after councilling he got admission to IISER Pune but he belongs to Odisha n wants to get admission in IISER Berhampur . is he can change it ?? n if yes then what is the procedure?? please explain.

Vibhanshu 26th Mar, 2021

Hello,

No you cannot change your college just because you are living there. You must have been given a priority list to fill in your choices. In that list you should have kept Behrampur above Pune. But now since you got Pune, you can't change to Behrampur. However, I would say to not think much and go to Pune. IISER Pune is the best IISER we have whereas Behrampur is very new. The amount of opportunities, networking and facilities you will get in Pune is very huge than behrampur.

I have scored 175 marks according to the official answer key of Odisha NTSE Stage-1 2021 . Can I qualify for stage-2 ?

Anurag Khanna 7th Feb, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as General or Open category.

See on such score you can easily qualify NTSE stage 1 and also have good chances of being shortlisted for stage 2 because the expected cut-off for shortlisting of candidate for stage 2 from Odisha is 155-165 for General category.

NTSE Odisha expected cut-off for 2021 :-

Category Cutoff
General 155-165
OBC 122-132
SC 121-131
ST 113-123
EWS 81

So it shows that you have some chances to be qualified for stage 2 but still we have to wait because the cut-off mentioned above is only the expected cut-off.

Cut off depends upon various factors such as the difficulty level of stage 1 exam, Odisha State quota, number of students appeared in the stage 1 exam, last year's NTSE Odisha cutoff and so on.

You can also check out complete details about the expected cut-offs for NTSE Odisha 2021 from the link given below :-

https://school.careers360.com/articles/ntse-odisha-cutoff

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!
