Ph.D
Hello Aspirant,
Yes, you can surely do PhD in Physics after B.Tech in Engineering Physics
Usually, students go for Masters Program before PhD. Students who are interested in research, enroll for a Master’s program then convert to a PhD. But a direct admission to PhD after Bachelor’s degree is also an option. There are certain criteria which the applicant needs to meet in order to apply for a Direct PhD admission after a Bachelor’s (B.Tech or B.E.).
In most scenarios, work experience in the field of interest for a year or two is good. The student can carry out some research work in the relevant area while doing his Bachelor’s program. He can also work under his guide for sometime after his graduation to show extra experience in research. A paper publication or technical paper presentation, seminars and extra projects during your Bachelor’s program will reflect your aptitude and interest in research. The Final Year project topic can be selected as per your future research target. You need to assure the work carried out is good and the corresponding letter of recommendation from the guide is of strong preference.
There is also the concept of Majors and Minors. Major is the main subject of specialization. You can specialize in 2 (Double majors) or 3 (Triple Majors). It is better to choose your majors in a way to make your profile stronger for a direct PhD application. For example, if you major in Mathematics and Finance, your chances of getting an admit for a PhD in Quantitative finance or only Finance can get better. Since the students cover subjects relevant to a Master’s program as a part of their theoretical curriculum, they need not worry about prerequisites. Care should be taken to assure that the coursework covered in the Bachelor’s program is equivalent to the corresponding program in the US.
Apart from the above mentioned, the important factors in backing a profile are the documents that go along with your application. A Statement of Purpose should be well written. It should describe your reason behind pursuing a PhD, your area of interest, application and contribution of the research you wish to carry out and how you see yourself progressing with your research in the years to come. A Statement of Purpose can either make or break the deal for you. Your calibre and aptitude need to be showcased in the Statement of Purpose. The next set of important documents is Letters of Recommendation. These should come from your guides/mentors. Your equation and work with the guide matters here. Hence maintaining a healthy rapport and hard work are a must.
Hence, applying for a PhD right after a Bachelor’s program, without doing a Master’s program is possible. It involves a tad bit of more hard work over the 3 or 4 years of Undergraduate life but it pays off in the end.
Hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask more questions.
Have a good day!!

Applied science is a discipline that applies existing scientific knowledge to develop more practical applications, such as technology or inventions. While pure sciences focus on observing and collecting data about natural phenomena and using experimentation and analysis to understand and explain them, the focus of applied science is to find practical uses for that knowledge. Applied sciences find applications in diverse domains such as medicine, pharmaceuticals, bio-technology, engineering, material science etc.
The benefits of choosing this as a subject:
Cutting edge research
More practical and applied knowledge
Skill development
I hope this was helpful. Thank you!

Hi there,
Cut-off is released in percentile so you have to go with that. Means convert your marks in percentile. For that you can google it.
Now come to your class 12th score. Whatever you score in your school has nothing to do with the university you get through the cucet.
Your school marks is just to fulfill the basic eligibility cr
iteria for the cucet.
After getting the percentile kindly visit this website for eligibility criteria of different university.

All the best, hope this helps
Well, It is not necessary to do PhD after clearing GATE exam. If your scores are high then it depends upon you whether you want to pursue your studies in Mtech or PhD ( as the duration of both the courses are different ) through a good Government Institute.
As far as Universities in India are concerned IIT Kharagpur followed by IIT Bombay, IIT ISM Dhanbad and IIT Roorkee are the four best institutes for pursuing a masters or doctoral degree in applied geology / geophysics in India. The Earth Sciences department at IIT Kanpur is another good choice in this domain.
Most of these above IITs have good placements for Geology Students with companies like Vedanta, ExxonMobil, Schlumberger, Reliance, Petronas, Indian Oil, Tata Steel, Coal india, UCIL and other oil and energy sector companies being regular recruiters. Many students after Ph.D also have the option to move abroad for a Post Doc and pursue research in some of the worlds renowned universities. Besides this many students even prepare for the Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination by Government of India as well as other prestigious Government Exams.

hi.
Unfortunately, no. To be registered with the MCI (Medical council of India), you have to be an MBBS graduate in order to practice medicine in india. After MBBS, the medical graduates give a screening test. And you need 50% marks in MBBS degree to give this examination. There are no bars on the number of attempts for MCI Screening Test.
Even though you will hold a PhD, you can not practice as a doctor.
