Philosophy
in college studies hardly do the faculty stick to one book or reference material. thus it is always advisable to not follow a single book. you can check the syllabus and course plan of your course and accordingly, you can issue those textbooks from the college library and refer to them.
Hello,
Philosophy is a set of ideals, standards or beliefs used to describe behavior and thought.
Example would be Buddhism.
The study of the nature, causes, or principles of reality, knowledge, or values, based on logical reasoning.
The study of philosophy helps us to enhance our ability to solve problems, our communication skills, our persuasive powers, and our writing skills.
Hope this helps!!
Greetings,
Please be more specific about your question, that would be really helpful. Thanks
Dear Aspirant
To become a professional counsellor the first step would be to take up Psychology for your undergraduation. You should also aim to do as many internships in the domain of counselling to get hands-on experience while witnessing the daily job roles of a counsellor.
To gain the practical knowledge of your field, and to specialise in counselling, you’ll need a master’s degree. An additional step you can take to actually double down on your counselling skills is to do a 1-year diploma in guidance and counselling. Such diploma courses are particularly relevant for people who do not hold a master’s in psychology, yet want to build their career in counselling.
At least one degree in Psychology is highly recommended, since it helps you understand the intricacies of the human mind, and enables you to better face the challenges of the field.
Hope this helps
Hi, a master's degree is a starting point for a career in teaching philosophy. For students who wish to teach at four-year colleges and universities, a master's degree is a stepping stone to a PhD, which is normally required for tenure-track positions at universities. Now, if you are soley interested in teaching high school students, there are subjects like Ethics. or Political Philosophy, but for a Masters in Philosophy, I would recommend teaching in colleges and universties, as they provide specialized subjects for a person with your degree. Hope this helps!
Hello aspirant,
Yes, there are good future prospects if you are pursuing your career in philosophy. Hey there!
I don't understand the first question so I'll be directing my answer to the second one. There is no problem in the branch of philosophy. It's a very interesting and deep subject which would teach you a lot. Ofcourse if you aren't interested then the case is different. But the subject itself is great and could be considered for a career option.
