Hello,

To become a pilot you will need to do maths and physics in your 10+2 level. So now if you want to become a pilot you can complete your maths and physics through open schooling to become eligible for becoming a Pilot. You can join NIOS and complete your Maths and Physics. ayanmukherjee045 28th May, 2021

Dear aspirant,

To be eligible for pilot training candidates have to clear entrance and aptitude tests. No , a commerce student cannot join flying schools.

The admission is a bit lengthy process as there are various levels of examination to become a certified pilot. During training candidates are trained to fly aircraft and other important details related to it. The training would include flying hours and a written examination conducted by DCGA.

There are some eligibility criteria which is required-

Candidates must have passed their 10+2 examination with a minimum percentage of 50. Mathematics and physics are two mandatory subjects for a flying career.

Candidates should be physically fit and have proper vision in atleast one eye. They should have a proper AFCME medical certificate . You should also have student pilot license and according to age private and commercial license.

I want to become a pilot but before that i want to pursue a degree with aeronautical engineering. so what i can do ? bsc in aeronautical or beng in aeronautical engineering or b.tech in aeronautical engineering?

RAJDEEP 23rd Jun, 2021

Hello aspirant, BSc. in aeronautical engineering involves more theory based study of the topic while B Tech course involves more practical knowledge that is applied science about aeronautics. B. Sc core subjects are more similar to pilot training studies but B Tech syllabus is slightly different. In terms of salary and job opportunities Bsc is considered to be slighly better. There is no entrance exam for BSc but you have to give entrance exam in B.Tech.

Both courses will help you learn about aircraft design and will directly or indirectly help you for pilot training in future. So based on above points and your interests you should choose between Btech or BSc in aeronautics engineering.
