Dhruv Sharma 15th Nov, 2025

Hello Niya

You're studying in a BSc AI course, and you're in the final year of your graduation, so after completing your graduation, you need to get a degree first, then you can match the requirement of GPA with the Russia or Qatar colleges. After this, you need to give an entrance exam, an interview and a portfolio, which depends on the university.

There are some requirements to get admission in Qatar and Russia colleges-

Qatar colleges

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Candidates must speak the English language and score well in tests like IELTS or TOEFL.
  • Universities like Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar offer an AI & Robotics program.

Russia Colleges

  • A Bachelor's degree from a relevant course with good grades is required.
  • High Commands on the English language and must submit a CV or motivation letter.
  • A competitive entrance exam and an interview are compulsory to get admission to a Russian college.
  • Skoltech University offers a Robotics & AI course.

I hope this information helps you.

Thank you.

I want to study abroad Russia mbbs , and I just want to know that is it possible to do addmission without neet qualifying and then reappearing neet next year ,after 1 year of studying and then qualifying it. And continue to 2nd year in Russia itself.

Prachi Kumari 5th Jun, 2025

Hello,

No, it is not possible to do that.

If you are an Indian student and want to study MBBS abroad , including in Russia , then NEET qualification is mandatory as per NMC (National Medical Commission) rules.

Even if a Russian university gives you admission without NEET, you will not be allowed to appear for FMGE (licensing exam in India) after completing your degree. Also, you cannot continue from 2nd year after qualifying NEET later. You will have to start from 1st year again if you qualify NEET next year.

So, it’s better to qualify NEET first , then apply for admission in Russia.

Hope it helps !

Low Cost of Living:

Russia's living expenses are also lower than in India, which helps to keep the overall cost of studying MBBS affordable.

State-Funded Universities:

Many medical universities in Russia are state-funded, which helps to keep tuition fees low.

Universities Offering Affordable Programs:

Several Russian medical universities offer MBBS programs at competitive prices, including Volgograd State Medical University and Kabardino Balkarian State Medical University.

I did my MBBS from Russia. I have not given FMGE. So if i want to pursue Masters in Clinical Psychologyor Applied Psychology in India. How to apply? Because while i was searching many top universities wants B.Sc. or BA in psychology. Are there any top Universities which accepts MBBS?

sai raja 24th Aug, 2024

If you want to pursue a Master's in Clinical Psychology in India with an MBBS degree, it might be challenging since many top universities prefer candidates with a B.Sc. or BA in Psychology. However, there are a few pathways and options to consider:

1. Universities Accepting MBBS for Clinical Psychology

  • National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore: NIMHANS is one of the top institutions that offers M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology and accepts MBBS graduates. You may need to sit for their entrance exam.
  • Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi: CIP offers courses like M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology, and they sometimes consider candidates with an MBBS background.
  • Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh: Similar to NIMHANS, PGIMER offers advanced psychology courses and may accept MBBS graduates, particularly for M.Phil. or Ph.D. programs.

2. Consider Specialized Programs

  • M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology: This is a more advanced course, and institutions like NIMHANS and CIP may consider MBBS graduates for this program.
  • Diploma or Certificate Courses: Some universities offer diploma courses in Clinical Psychology, which could act as a bridge before applying for a Master's program.

3. Bridge Courses

  • Some universities might offer or recommend bridge courses or diplomas to help non-psychology graduates prepare for a Master's in Clinical Psychology.

4. Apply to Colleges with Flexibility

  • Private Universities: Some private universities might have more flexible admission criteria. It's worth contacting them directly to discuss your MBBS background and how it aligns with their program.

5. Alternative Pathways

  • Pursue a B.Sc. or BA in Psychology: If you’re determined to get into a top university that strictly requires a psychology undergraduate degree, you might consider completing a B.Sc. or BA in Psychology first.
  • Dual Degrees: Some universities might allow you to pursue a psychology-related diploma or certification along with your clinical practice, especially if you're practicing medicine in India.

6. Research and Contact Universities Directly

  • University Websites: Visit the official websites of the universities you are interested in and check their eligibility criteria for Clinical Psychology programs.
  • Direct Enquiries: Reach out to the admissions office of universities to clarify whether they accept MBBS graduates and if they offer any additional support or bridge programs.

Conclusion

While many top universities prefer candidates with a psychology background, institutions like NIMHANS, CIP, and PGIMER may accept MBBS graduates for advanced psychology programs. Research specific universities, consider M.Phil. programs, or look into private universities with flexible admission criteria.
