Hey there,

Yes, you can study MBBS in Russia even if you have a 4-year gap between your 10th and 11th grades. Most Russian medical universities do not have strict rules regarding gap years, and they primarily focus on your academic performance in your 12th-grade examination and other eligibility criteria.

Key Points to Consider:

  1. Eligibility : To be eligible for MBBS in Russia, you usually need to have completed your 12th grade with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) and achieved a minimum percentage, often around 50% .

  2. Application Process : You will need to provide documents such as:

    • Your 12th-grade certificate .
    • A passport .
    • A medical certificate confirming your fitness for study.

  3. Language of Instruction : Many universities offer programs in English, but some might require knowledge of Russian, especially for clinical practice. It’s advisable to check the specific requirements of the university you are interested in.

  4. University Selection : Ensure you choose a recognized university. Some well-known institutions include:

    • Kazan Federal University
    • Moscow State University
    • Saint Petersburg State University

  5. Recognition : Make sure that the university you choose is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the relevant body in your home country, especially if you plan to return and practice medicine there.

    Recommendations:

  • Reach out directly to the universities for any specific queries regarding your application and gap years.

  • Consult with education consultants or agencies specializing in overseas education for further assistance.

For detailed information about studying in Russia, you can refer to sources like Study in Russia (https://www.studyinrussia.ru) or MCI guidelines (https://www.nmc.org.in) .

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Hello Aspirant,

The eligibility criteria:

On or before December 31st of the entrance year, you must be at least 17 years old and no older than 25. You received your Class 12 Science degree from an Indian government-approved board, where you also studied English and PCM. In your 10+2, you received at least 50%.

Most essential, keep in mind that each university has its unique policies regarding foreign student admittance. Every year, the MBBS registration procedure typically begins in April and finishes in May. In June and July, the admissions process is completed if you make the short list. Following this procedure, acceptance letters are sent to the chosen candidates during August. Typically, each step of the procedure takes around fifteen days. The MBBS sessions then start in September each year.
