Question : Select the option that expresses the given sentence in passive voice.
When did they find the mistake?
Option 1: When was the mistake founded?
Option 2: When is the mistake found?
Option 3: When has the mistake been found?
Option 4: When was the mistake found?
Correct Answer: When was the mistake found?
Solution : The correct choice is the fourth option.
Passive voice is the voice in which the object experiences an action rather than the person who performs the action. Hence, the object in the active voice becomes the subject in the passive voice. Passive voice reverses the order, making the object of the active sentence the subject of the passive sentence, and uses a form of the verb "to be" along with the past participle of the main verb. "When was" introduces the passive construction and shifts the focus to the mistake (the object in the active sentence).
The structure of the passive voice sentence is: question word (when) + helping verb (was) + subject (the mistake) + main verb (found)? Therefore, the correct answer is: When was the mistake found?
Question : Directions: Some equations have been solved based on a certain system. Find out the correct answer for the unsolved equation on that basis. If 29 × 13 = 14, 76 × 26 = 34, then 64 × 14 = ?
Option 1: 39
Option 2: 32
Option 3: 26
Option 4: 54
Correct Answer: 26
Solution : Given: 29 × 13 = 14; 76 × 26 = 34; 64 × 14 = ?
Here, add the first and second numbers and divide the resultant by 3, to get the third number – 29 × 13 = 14→29 + 13 = 42; 42 ÷ 3 = 14 76 × 26 = 34→76 + 26 = 102; 102 ÷ 3 = 34 Similarly, follow the same pattern for 64 × 14 = ?→64 + 14 = 78; 78 ÷ 3 = 26
So, 26 is the required missing number. Hence, the third option is correct.

Option 1: overwhelming
Option 2: overriding
Option 3: excessive
Option 4: extreme
Correct Answer: overwhelming
It indicates that the response was very strong and intense, often in a positive sense. In the context of a marathon, "overwhelming" is the most appropriate word as it indicates a very strong and positive response, which is often desirable for such an event.

Question : Directions: Kirti, Suman, Shubh, Kanak, Pari, Charu, Shlok, and Shivi are sitting around a square table facing the centre of the table. Some of them are sitting at the corners, while some are sitting at the exact centre of the sides. Kirti sits third to the left of Shubh. Kirti sits at one of the corners. Kanak sits second to the right of Pari. Pari does not sit at any of the corners. Pari is not an immediate neighbour of Kirti. Suman is an immediate neighbour of Charu. Suman does not sit in any of the middle of the sides. Only three people sit between Suman and Shlok. Who sits to the immediate left of Kanak?
Option 1: Kirti
Option 2: Shlok
Option 3: Shubh
Option 4: Charu
Correct Answer: Shlok
Solution : Given:
(I) Kirti sits third to the left of Shubh. Kirti sits at one of the corners. Kanak sits second to the right of Pari. Pari does not sit at any of the corners. Pari is not an immediate neighbour of Kirti.
(II) Suman is an immediate neighbour of Charu. Suman does not sit in any of the middle of the sides. Only three people sit between Suman and Shlok.
So, Shlok sits to the immediate left of Kanak. Hence, the second option is correct.
Read the following passage and answer the questions.
For birds to survive, they must learn to live with and off humans, and those birds, like crows, sparrows, and mynahs, who do this to perfection, continue to thrive as our cities grow, whereas the purely wild birds, who depend on forests for life, are rapidly disappearing because forests are disappearing. If you have just a bit of garden and perhaps a guava tree, you will be visited by innumerable bulbuls, mynahs, tailor birds, parrots, etc. Or, if you own an old house, you will have to share it with pigeons and sparrows. And, if you have neither a garden nor a rooftop, you will still be visited by the crows.
Where man goes, the crow follows. He has learned to perfect the art of living off of humans. He will, I am sure, be the first bird on the moon, scavenging among the paper bags and cartons left behind by untidy astronauts. Crows favour the densest areas of the human population, and there must be one for every human. Many crows seem to have been humans in their previous lives; they possess all the cunning and sense of self preservation of man. At the same time, there are many humans who have obviously been crows, we haven't lost their thieving instincts.
Watch a crow sidling along the garden wall with an eye at the kitchen door and any attendant humans. He waits in the background till his chance comes, and then he pounces! I have even known a crow to make off with an egg from the breakfast table. The mynah, however, is more of a gentleman. He prefers fruit on the tree to scraps from the kitchen and visits the garden in expectation of handouts. He is quite handsome, too, with his bright orange bill. Although the blue jay is quite capable of making his living in the forest, he seems to show a preference for human haunts. He would rather perch on a telegraph wire because he finds it a better launching pad for his sudden rocket flights and aerial acrobatics!
The narrator thinks that some crows must have been humans in previous births because of their:
Option 1: city dwelling
Option 2: selfish ways
Option 3: large numbers
Option 4: untidy habits
Correct Answer: selfish ways
Solution : The correct choice is the second option.
Explanation: The narrator suggests that crows exhibit cunning and a sense of self-preservation similar to humans. The statement, "many crows seem to have been humans in their previous lives; they possess all the cunning and sense of self-preservation of man", indicates that the narrator attributes human-like qualities, particularly selfish and cunning behaviour, to crows. This observation leads to the conclusion that some crows must have been humans in previous births due to their perceived selfish ways.
Therefore, the correct answer is, selfish ways.
Question : Directions: Study the given pattern carefully and select the number that can replace the question mark (?) in it.
Option 1: 369
Option 2: 504
Option 3: 444
Option 4: 568
Correct Answer: 504
Solution : Add one to the first and second numbers and then multiply the resultants to get the third number – Row I: (11 + 1) × (14 + 1) = 12 × 15 = 180 Row II: (17 + 1) × (18 + 1) = 18 × 19 = 342 Similarly, in Row III: (23 + 1) × (20 + 1) = 24 × 21 = 504
So, the missing number is 504. Hence, the second option is correct.
Question : Which of the following controls the wind speed?
Option 1: Pressure gradient
Option 2: Rotation of Earth
Option 3: Insolation
Option 4: None of the options is correct
Correct Answer: Pressure gradient
Solution : The correct answer is Pressure gradient.
Differences in air pressure can cause air masses to travel from one point to another. Air masses tend to move from high-pressure locations to low-pressure locations. As a result, winds blow from high-pressure zones to low-pressure areas. Hence pressure conditions are one of the most important factors for blowing winds on Earth.

Option 3: Father–in–law
Option 4: Paternal uncle
Correct Answer: Father
