When I am checking various colleges as per my predicted rank in neet 2020 (general category), I find different fee structures for admission in MBBS in different colleges, How does this variation is arising ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 18th Sep, 2020

In India, we have Government Medical Colleges, Private Medical Colleges and Deemed/Central Universities. And then there are 3 Categories of seats in Private Medical Colleges: Govt. Quota, Management Quota and NRI Quota. And each of them have different fee structures. Even in GMCs, the fee is different for those filled through All India and for those filled under State Quota. So when you check the Colleges that you have a shot at, it might include all these Colleges and hence different fee structures.

SIR/MAM What is the difference between deemed unvirsity and private medical college and where can we do the counselling for both and what are the fees structures

theeanonymous 23rd Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant ,

There is not much of a difference, between them, a deemed university is a status of independence given by the  Department of Higher Education (DHE), MHRD, on the advice of UGC, they are neither private nor government. This means that they will have full autonomy in deciding what courses to offer  , their curriculum ,admission procedure ,the fee structure etc. Basically they can make their own rules regarding anything, they are all on their own. On the other hand private universities are independent too but they still have to follow UGC's rules and regulation to function,as they are approved by them . The deemed universities are authorized to give their own degree/diploma.So basically the difference is that deemed universities are more flexible compared to private universities . The fee structure is almost the same in both and  will vary with different courses from college to college but always it is way more than a state or central university. Regarding the admission , if it is medical it based on NEET exam for all types of colleges and after clearing the exam you can attend the all India or state counselling. The Medical counselling committee will conduct counselling for the 15% from AIQ , and 100% seats of Deemed and Central universities. The designated state counselling authorities will grant seats based on NEET score for the rest of 85% of government colleges and all the private colleges.

All the best

Hope it helps

I have got appgecet rank 88 so can I get in AU mtech structures

apeksha150598 23rd Oct, 2020
Hello student,

Congratulations for getting a good rank in ap PGECET exam. As you have not mentioned your catagory, I am assuming it to be open or general category.
Now according to previous year cutoff you have good chances of getting a seat in your desired college in structural engineering.

Last year the last rank for Structural engineering in AU college was 2202 in OC boys category.
But other categories had no seats remaining and hence got no seat in structural engineering in AU.

Hope this was helpful to you.

Hello sir/mam I am scoring 545 in NEET 2020 ug and I belong to BC-B ( OBC) what are the fee structures for a Government seat in Apollo institute of medical sciences hyderabad per annum

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 10th Oct, 2020

With a score of 545, you can get a seat in Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences through Government Quota going b previous years data. Their annual fees is usually 3-5 lakhs per annum without the miscellaneous charges. Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.
