Can i take 2019 sep intake to canada as student ?

Sayam Smruti 26th Feb, 2019

Hello Bharath,

In order to pursue either an undergraduate or postgraduate course in Canada for the Sep intake 2019, you need to qualify standardised tests like GRE, TOEFL, IELTS depending on the course and university. Usually, you need to register and take these tests between June to December. By August to October, you need to shortlist various colleges you are interested in and apply for them. Once you clear your exams and are shortlisted to get selected into their colleges, you will be called for personal/video interviews which are usually scheduled between January to March. Once you clear all the steps you should be set to go into the college you desire in Canada.

As the complete process takes almost a year time, it would be advisable to appear for the next year intake i.e., 2020 intake. You should begin the process from now itself for the 2020 intake.

Hope this helps you. All the best!

If there is gap after graduation, how much and how does it affect admissions in foreign universities for MS?

Shraya Singh 22nd Feb, 2019

Hello,

A gap after graduation generally affects your chances of admission depending upon what you accomplished in the gap year.

If you are applying for an MS abroad, then a gap to participate in an internship or any sort of professional activity which is related to the prospective field of study will actually boost your application. Additionally, if you have completed any short-term course or have acquired any publication under your name in the gap year, then the admissions committee will positively interpret your gap year.

On the other hand, if the gap year in question cannot be justified towards the area of study you are applying to and is unrelated to the same, then the gap year may affect your chances of admission drastically. A gap year taken for preparation and/or coaching for GRE or an  English language proficiency test may prove to hinder your application in the eyes of the admissions committee.

Therefore, you should ensure that you work further towards your goal in the gap year or years in order to increase the weight of your application for an MS abroad.

What is the min. score I need to get in SAT to get an admission in Harvard and is there any donation method to get into Harvard....pls reply

anika ravi kumar 30th Mar, 2019

Hey mrunal!

The 25th percentile new sat score is 1460 and the 75th percentile sat score is 1590.

In other words a 1460 places you below average while a 1590 will move you up to above average. There is no absolute sat requirement at Harvard but they want to see at least a 1460 to have a chance at being considered.

Wish you all the best!

My brother is going to Canada for apprenticeship how to apply for student visa? Any documents required for that?

Srishti Mehta 17th Feb, 2019

Hello dear

Think about the subjects you want to study. According to your budget, your age, past education, work experience and a couple of other factors decide upon the duration of course. Afterwards look for the colleges who offer such courses. Apply in three to four colleges. Go through any consultancy, they will do it free for you.

IELTS is the minimum requirement for all colleges. Know the band you need to score in IELTS to get into those selected colleges. Apply for IELTS and practice for two to three months. You can apply in colleges without the score but you need to show your IELTS exam dates and details.

Wait for the IELTS score and revert from the colleges. With the offer letter from the college, you will also receive the registration amount you need to pay to book a seat in the college. Wire that amount to college in the bank provided by them. Everything will be written in the offer letter.

Also apply for the GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificates). That’s nothing but an account in Canadian Bank. Scotia Bank. Apply for the account through online. Your consultant will guide you. It will take one month in opening of account, you will have to transfer 10,000 Canadian dollars to show your living expenses.

Take a medical check up appointment in the hospitals which are approved by the Canadian Embassy. Your consultant will guide you obviously. There must be a counter for Canadian visa applicants. Be careful with the questions asked by the doctors.

Collect money to pay the semester fee to the college and don’t book the tickets to Canada. because your Visa may be denied by the Embassy.

So now you are ready for Visa filling. Fill the Visa application form and put all the papers such as health check up, GIC proof, tuition fee payment receipt, offer letter, id proofs, academics, passport, etc, etc. There will be fee you need to pay at the counter. Get the proper photographs according to Canadian Embassy’s requirements.
