No! Sorry to say a BHMS isn't eligible to perform operations of Cataract as he/she have no license as per the MCI. To be eligible to do Cataract Surgery you have to go for Allopathic Medicine.

Nope! Until and unless a Optometrist go to med school to obtain MD/DO degree along with postings as a resident and have passed a examination which authorizes him/her to practice clinically, a Optometrist is ineligible to do surgery.
