Before applying for NTA UGC NET examination a candidate must satisfy the eligibility of examination such as educational qualification, age limit.
Below check the Age Limit for UGC NET JRF
Candidate’s maximum age should not exceed than 28 years as on 1st Jan 2019.
For SC/ST /OBC-NCL /PWD/women are provided 5 years of relaxation in age.
Candidates of research experience in the same PG degree may get 5 years maximum age relaxation provided they produce a certificate for the same from appropriate authority.
Candidates possessing an LLM degree are given the permission of 3 years age relaxation.

There is no age limit to appear for UGC NET lectureship.

As per the official notification of UGC NET eligibility criteria , the candidates who are applicable on the following conditions may appear in the exam.
For General Category Candidates – 55% aggregate in master’s degree or Equivalent Degree
For ST/SC/OBC/ PWD/ Transgender Candidates - 50% aggregate in master’s degree
The Ph.D. degree holders whose master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of the date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks for appearing in NET.
The students pursuing master’s degree or equivalent exam or the students who have appeared in the final year exam of their PG degree but their result is still awaited can apply for the UGC NET Exam.
