i have recently switched from cbse to nios for 11th and 12th as it was really hard for me to cope up with school and coaching at the same time. do i have to prepare for nios seperately if im preparing for NEET anyways? is it going to be hard?

SREYASHI SEN 9th Jul, 2021

Hey there,

It is really good to hear about your dedication for medical. To clear your doubt l would like to say that the CBSE ratio allows students to achieve higher grades, whereas the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), the third central board, is dedicated to assisting students who are unable to complete regular courses (aspirants like you). The sole distinction between CBSE, ICSE, and NIOS boards is that NIOS is more flexible in terms of subject selection.

NIOS, unlike other board exams, does not have a reputation for being tough to pass. The NIOS exam is really simple, but that does not imply you do not need to study. If you focus on your studies and put in some effort, you can do well on the NIOS exam.

Hope it helps and best of luck for your future endeavors!!!!!

Regards

Sudeshna Dutta 11th Oct, 2021

Aspirant, please accept my greetings.

I hope everything in your life is going well right now.

Please accept my apologies for telling you, but I think that after the application form has been submitted, these changes will not be taken into account. Similar occurrences have occurred in the past, and many of my friends and acquaintances have also seen them. To connect with them in such situations, I recommend that you write them an email or call them on their hotline number provided on their website. There is a high likelihood that they will respond to your inquiry, and if they do not, you will be required to apply for alternative entrance tests in the future.

I hope you were successful in finding the answer to your question. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Wishing you a great day!

my jee main percentile is 88 can i get iiit lucknow in st category and my home state is up ????

Anurag Khanna 18th Aug, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your CRL rank is expected to be in the range of 122760 - 138000 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that :-

Closing ST rank for IIIT Lucknow was :-

  • Information Technology  branch - 3177

And your ST rank is expected to be around 6000

So you have quite low or almost no chances to get IIIT Lucknow even if you have Home state quota because there is home state quota in IIITs, there is only All India quota.

But yes if you improve your percentile in any further session of JEE-Main like around 91+ then you might have a shot at IIIT Lucknow.

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

If you are preparing for JEE-Main 2021 or 2022 then I would recommend you to check the resources made by our experts to help aspirants like you in the best and smart preparation of JEE-Main 2021 or 2022 :-

JEE MAINS new correction window is not opening for me too. i am able to login but as I proceed to correction in application form the page shows up with a Server Error message . What can I do ?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 7th Jul, 2021

Hello,

Since the registration window and correction window is opened for limited period of time there will be heavy traffic in the website. We would suggest you to try logging in the candidate Portal after some time. Try clearing the search history and cache from the web browser. Please login from laptop or desktop to utilise the correction window. The last date to make corrections for JEE Main April session (postponed session) is July 8, 2021 and the correction window for JEE Main May session (postponed session) will be available from July 9, 2021 to July 21, 2021. The correction dates further will not be extended. So you need to be careful while filling the application form or making corrections as you won't be able to utilise the correction window after the correction window is closed.
