What college best in India outside Delhi and overall for major in International Relations? Best optional subjects for UPSC College with major in international Relations and minor in law?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 16th Sep, 2020
Hello,

Best foreign foreign university for major in International Relations is :
  • Stanford University
  • Boston University
  • Georgetown University.

Best university in India:
  • Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)
  • Jadhavpur University

If you are interested in doing major in international relations then its okay to go for it but if you are doing it just for UPSC optional then i would not recommend you to because you don't have tp do major for getting good score in optionals because the syllabus is not that vast.In UPSC PSIR is the optional which is called Political Science and International relations and trust me candidates who have engineering background also ace this optional.with highest marks. But totally your decision to decide what's best for you.

good luck

I want to give UPSC 2022. How long it will take to complete NCERT HISTORY BOOK SET normally?I made my tt in which I can cover till 31st October.

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 7th Aug, 2020
Hello.

It depends on your speed. In the first reading, don't make any notes out of it.Just simply read the NCERTs like a story. If you are speedy reader then you can easily complete 3 NCERTs in day and if you are slow reader then you can complete 2 in a day.Dont think about the pages of the book because very less texts are in the pages. You will have to devote 6-8 hours in a day in preparation of UPSC and if you can manage to give 8 hours then you can complete all sets of history books in just 10 days.
Ideally all the NCERTs should be completed within a month.

I hope this helps.

can I give do upsc from science site in 11th class

pdwords Student Expert 7th Aug, 2020

Hello,

In order to appear for UPSC, candidates need to complete their Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university, then need to attain 21 years, there's no specific aggregate required in this case, they can also appear in the final year of their graduation. So, to answer your question, not only 10+2 but also graduation discipline, there's no such emphasis on pursuing these levels from humanities backgrounds. and yes, if you see previous year trends many science, engineering, medical background students have qualified UPSC, so there's no way you can't, it's just that humanities students are already well-acquainted with the subjects, which doesn't happen say in case of commerce or science students, but then eventually it's your planning and preparation that will help you succeed in this exam.

which one is better study iq vs unacademy for UPSC with WBPCS ex.

jai shing 29th Nov, 2021

StudyIQ and Unacademy are trustworthy platforms for any entrance test preparation. However, StudyIQ has better content, uniform teaching techniques and enthusiastic coaches who help students learn better and faster. Everything is taught to view more as a story than as a syllabus, which helps in making learning easier. For UPSC, everything is updated monthly, and the cost of courses are lesser in comparison to Unacademy. Often students have given Study IQ positive feedbacks as one of the main features of the platform is that students can study at their own pace, in their own time and still come out on top.

How to start preparing for upsc from the very first day of engineering college and also manage my btech course? ? As I am the first year student of Viteee Bhopal and my college will start from tomorrow. Please give me a perfect full day strategy.

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 15th Sep, 2020
Hello,

The first and foremost thing that you need to do is that you will have to download the UPSC syllabus and just memorize it whole heartedly.Trust me learning syllabus sounds weird but its very important. You have 4 years in your hand so start with building base.Just get all the NCERTs of class 6-12 and start studying it like a story.Watch topper talks from Delhi knowledge Track YouTube channel.
After few months you have to decide your optional subject but keep in mind that you have 4 years and its highly possible that optional might get removed in future so investment of time in that would be risky.
First complete your NCERTs reading twice.Make  a proper time table and make sure you manage your college studies well too. Once  you get over NCERTs  then back to us for further guidance.

Good Luck
