Good afternoon
Yes, the CAP or CAF reservation does apply to VIT AP counselling.
You must go through the state convenor process, not through direct admission, VITEEE, or the management quota.
Make sure you have the following:
A valid defence service certificate
Andhra Pradesh domicile
Properly completed the choice filling during counselling
It also requires more than five years of residence in Andhra Pradesh along with a valid defence certificate.
Hello Vaishnavi,
The CAF (Children of Armed Forces Personnel) subscription quota is not valid in VIT-AP. VIT has its admission policies and CAF reservations are mainly applicable to government institutions and not private universities such as VIT.
VIT AP is a private university located in Andhra Pradesh and it falls under the APSCHE regulations for unaided institutions. Therefore CAP quota is applicable there as well. If you belong to defence personnel family and fulfil domicile rules, you may apply under CAP category at VIT AP during counselling and seat allotment process .You just need to provide proper documents like defence service certificate, CAP domicile proof, and other papers at the time of admission. They will give you seat under CAP category and you will pay fees like others. This is good opportunity for students from military families in Andhra Pradesh.

If you got 257 marks, then your score is not bad, it is a good score for many paramedical courses. You can try for diploma and degree courses like DMLT, Radiology, OT technician, and other health science courses. Many private colleges and some government colleges give admission for this score. Your chance is more if you are from reserved category. In some colleges, they take admission by merit list, and in some places, they give seat by entrance exam rank. With 257, you can get a seat in many states if the cut off is not too high.
Hello Aspirant,
You must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
Minimum marks required: 45–50% (depends on the institute).
Your age should be 17 years or above at the time of admission.

Visit the official websites of the nursing colleges or state counselling portals.
Fill the application form carefully.
Upload documents like your 10th & 12th marksheets, photo, signature, etc.
Pay the application fee.
After results, attend online or offline counselling.
Choose your preferred colleges.
Based on your rank, category, and availability of seats, you'll be allotted a college.
Once a seat is allotted:
Visit the college for document verification
Submit your original certificates, passport-size photos, medical fitness certificate, etc.
Pay the admission fees to confirm your seat
All the best for your future career.
If you want to take admission in BSc Nursing, first you must pass class twelve with science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, and get at least fifty percent marks, but if you are from SC, ST or OBC, then forty five percent is also enough, and your age should be minimum seventeen years by thirty first December of the same year, and you must be medically fit, then you have to write entrance exam like NEET or state level test like AP BSc Nursing CET or JIPMER or AIIMS exam, and after the result you must go for counselling, give your documents, choose your college, pay the fees, and then your seat will be confirmed for BSc Nursing course.
Hello student,
To pursue a BSc Nursing degree, you generally need to have completed your 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as subjects, and some institutions may also require a minimum percentage (e.g., 45% or 50%).
You may also need to appear for and qualify in entrance exams like NEET (for some institutions), state level nursing entrance exams, or university specific exams.
Thank you!!
