i have 129 marks in hpcet and 88 percent in cbse pcm class 12 . Can i get seat in jngec for btech

Tanisha chaudhary 31st May, 2025

HEY THERE!!

  • With a score of 129 in HPCET and an 88% aggregate in PCM (Class 12 CBSE), your chances of securing a B.Tech seat at Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College (JNGEC), Sundernagar, are quite strong.
  • The eligibility threshold for admission is 45% in PCM, which you have exceeded by a significant margin.
  • Looking at recent trends, a score above 100–120 in HPCET is generally considered competitive for most branches, particularly for candidates from the general category. Your score of 129 positions you well within this competitive range.
  • JNGEC allocates 50% of its seats through the HPCET, while the remaining 50% are filled via JEE Main. With your current HPCET score, you are well-placed for the counselling process.
  • Of course, the final outcome will depend on the individual branch cutoffs, your category, and seat availability at the time of allotment. Still, based on previous years’ cutoffs, your marks are above the typical requirements for most branches.
  • Remaining attentive to the counselling schedule and procedures will be important to maximize your chances.

Hi, My Niece studied in Telangana (Just intermediate), however her hometown is in AP, so she has written EAPCET. Now, how does this 25% inter marks weightage will be considered and who will add this marks? do we need to upload the TG intermediate marks certificate anywhere ? Please clarify

Niharika Patibandla 31st May, 2025

Hey there! yes 25% intermediate marks are added to AP EAPCET score while calculating final ranks. ( 75% weight is for EAPCET marks and 25% is for intermediate marks in PCM or PCB).Since your niece studied intermediate in Telangana, her marks are not automatically available in AP EAPCET system. That means you have to upload her marks manually. You will be asked to upload the marks during the counselling process, usually in the certificate verification stage ( after results are announced ).

What you should do:

  • Keep her Telangana Intermediate marks memo (10+2) ready - both 1st year and 2nd year.
  • During AP EAPCET counselling, when the certificate verification happens:
  • You may be required to enter marks manually online or
  • Upload scanned copies of the marks memo.
  • The EAPCET authorities ( APSCHE) will calculate the 25% weightage based on the marks you provide.

If you need further assistance with counselling process and admissions  feel free to ask! All the best!

my cousin ranking is 46000 in kcet looking for Ai &Ml ,cs in banglore

Akansha Sharma 1st Jun, 2025

With a KCET rank of 46,000, your cousin has a fair chance of getting admission into AI & ML or Computer Science (CS) in some good private colleges in Bangalore under the government quota. Top colleges like RV, BMS, and MSRIT may be tough, but colleges like Acharya Institute, East West Institute, AMC Engineering, or T John College could be possible. It’s a good idea to apply to multiple colleges and check cutoffs in each counselling round for better chances.

Which engineering course to choose if interested in biology and maths

gopi 31st May, 2025

Hello Ranjani sanjay,

If you have a solid interest in both biology and maths, an exceptional engineering pathway to explore is Biomedical Engineering because it combines concepts from biology, medicine and engineering to create and implement solutions in health-care technologies like systems for medical devices, prosthetics, and images. Other good options would include:

  • Biotechnology Engineering - This would focus on genetic engineering, molecular biology and bioinformatics.
  • Biochemical Engineering - This degree would combine chemical engineering principles with biological processes.
  • Bioinformatics - This degree would represent an integration of biology and bioinformatics concepts with topics in computer science and mathematics to analyze biological form.
  • Environmental Engineering - This would be an excellent choice for you if you had an interest in biological systems and sustainable solutions.

These fields allow you to apply your strengths in math while exploring the biological sciences in real-world applications.

Akansha Sharma 2nd Jun, 2025

North Maharashtra University (NMU) usually does not have a separate entrance exam for B.Sc. Biotechnology. Admission is mostly based on your 12th marks (merit). For some other courses, NMU may accept scores from exams like MHT CET or JEE Main. To get the latest and correct details, it’s best to check NMU’s official website or contact their admission office directly.

I want to do dm in neurology in odisha .. bhubaneswar or near it but unfortunately I didnt got any chance for any entrance exams ..so can you recommend any clg for direct joining in 2025

Tanisha chaudhary 31st May, 2025

HEY THERE!!

  • Actually, if you’re looking for a DM Neurology seat in Odisha—whether that's Bhubaneswar or nearby—without sitting for an entrance exam, that's just not gonna happen at any reputable medical college.
  • Institutions like AIIMS Bhubaneswar, KIMS, or SCB Medical College in Cuttack . Every single seat is filled through national-level entrance exams, mainly the NEET SS, and the whole centralized counseling process. No exceptions, no workarounds.
