hello i got a rank of 35k. i m interested in obsgyne but i can only get a diploma seat(later i do wanna do secondary DNB). while i have other options of DNB ENT, ophthal and anaesthesia. i m 27yr Female. what would be best for me. i m flexible with work and hardworking

Ankur Mehta 4th Sep, 2025

Hey! With a 35k rank, a diploma seat in OBGYN is possible and if that’s the branch you’re genuinely interested in, I would suggest you go for it. Later on, you can always upgrade through secondary DNB, so it won’t stop your long-term plans.

As for the other options – Anaesthesia, ENT, and Ophthalmology – all three are good branches in their own way. Anaesthesia gives you wide demand and scope in critical care, ENT and Ophthalmology are more surgical and can open up private practice opportunities later.

Since you’ve mentioned you’re hardworking and flexible, the decision should depend on what you really want to see yourself doing in the long run. If you’re passionate about women’s health, choose OBG; if you want comparatively better work–life balance, Anaesthesia can be considered.

can I get admission in diploma after 12 in second year of diploma

Madhu Hosamath 4th Sep, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you can get admission in the second year of diploma after passing in the 12th. You get an option of lateral entry by which you enter the 3rd semester of diploma.

To be eligible for lateral entry, you have to be 12th pass in the relevant subjects.

There might be lateral entry entrance exams for getting admission. However, this varies by institution and the field you choose.

with a wbjee gmr rank of 22259 and sc rank of 1996 can I get jadavpur university be 2025

Ankur Mehta 4th Sep, 2025

Hey! With a GMR rank of 22,259 and SC rank of 1996 in WBJEE 2025, getting Jadavpur University for BE is quite difficult, especially for CSE, IT, or ECE, since cutoffs for these branches are very high even under SC quota. However, you might have some chances in lower cutoff branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Production Engineering, depending on the 2025 cutoff trends. I’d suggest you keep Jadavpur as an option but also fill choices for other government colleges like Kalyani Government Engineering College, Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, and HIT Kolkata, as your chances are better there.

wbjee my rank is 85851 and my sc rank is 10051 will I get any government college for cse , it , Electrical or ee

Ankur Mehta 4th Sep, 2025

Hey! With a GMR rank of 85,851 and SC rank of 10,051 in WBJEE, chances for getting CSE, IT, or core branches like Electrical/EEE in government colleges are unfortunately very slim. The cutoffs for these streams under SC quota generally close at a much better rank. However, you might still explore a few options in private colleges under the WBJEE counselling process, where you can get CSE/IT at this rank. If you are only targeting government colleges, then options in these specific branches look difficult, but you can consider other branches in lower cutoff govt. engineering colleges like civil or production if your main aim is a government seat. Otherwise, private colleges will be more realistic for CSE/IT.

If I did not get my preferred clg in 1 round of councelling in wbjee , is there any chance that I might get it from 2 or 3 round ? My gmr is 23375 and sc is 2117 - kalyani government is choice

Taabia Fathima 3rd Sep, 2025

Hey Saloni:)

Thanks for reaching out!

Yes , There's a good chance for you to get a seat in Kalyani Government Engineering College in the later rounds of WBJEE counselling, since there are multiple rounds, many students either upgrade or leave their seats, which opens up opportunities for others. Based on previous years cutoffs, the SC category closing ranks for KGEC in later rounds were much higher than your ranks ,so this puts you in a safer position, if not in first round, you may get your preferred college in the following rounds.

Just make sure to place KGEC high in your preference list

I got 8588 GMR rank in wbjee and TFW rank 1451 can I get any branch in jadavpur university

Yash Teotia 3rd Sep, 2025

Hello

With 8588 rank in WBJEE GMR and 1451 rank in TFW, it is highly unlikely for you to get any B.Tech branch in Jadavpur University even for the TFW quota as the cutoff rank of top branches has been around 1000 rank and the lower ones have been around 3000 rank and as your rank is a lot higher than that, it won't be possible.

Thank You!!!

I passed my class 12 form NIOS Board with 67% marks in April 2025 ,So I admission FOR re exam in class 12 Fom BOSSE BOARD, SIKKIM october 2025 to met 75% the criteria . what I fill jee mains applicatn form appearing or passed , passing year and which marksheet i use in jossa counseling

gopi 3rd Sep, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

If you already have a Class 12 from NIOS in April 2025 with 67%, you are technically considered a “pass”. But, now since you are reappearing for Class 12 through BOSSE (Sikkim) in October 2025, in order to increase your percentage to 75% (for eligibility) here is how it works:

In the JEE Main Application Form:

  • Choose "Appearing" for Class 12 (you will be giving the BOSSE oct 2025 exam).
  • Enter the passing year as 2025.

For JoSAA Counselling:

  • You must submit the latest valid marksheet, that states you have obtained more than 75%.
  • If your result from BOSSE (oct 2025) comes before counselling/document verification, then to submit BOSSE marksheet.
  • If you only submit NIOS marksheet (67%), you will not then meet the criteria for 75%, so you may be excluded from admission
