If I alloted a seat in aiq 1st round and joined the seat and opted for upgradation then can i appear for state 2nd and 3rd counseling ? and if i get a seat in 3rd rounf state the desired brancg what will be the formalities?

SEJAL JAIN 23rd Aug, 2025

Hello

If you’ve accepted a seat in the first round of AIQ counseling and opted for upgradation, you may still be allowed to participate in your state’s second and third counseling rounds but this depends on your state’s specific rules, so it’s important to check carefully. If you get a better seat in the state counseling, like your desired branch in the third round, you’ll usually need to formally resign from the AIQ seat before joining the new one. This means submitting a withdrawal application to the AIQ authority and then completing admission formalities with the state college.

To avoid any confusion or losing your seat, make sure to follow the guidelines and deadlines from both AIQ and your state counseling officials.

in my provisional degree certificate they told year of passing july but in marksheet august there is any problem during Applying for college

Rithwik Kumar Sahu 23rd Aug, 2025

No, this won’t create any major problem. Colleges and universities generally consider the final marksheet and the fact that you have cleared the degree, not the exact month. Minor differences like July in provisional degree and August in marksheet happen because results are declared in one month but certificates are issued in another.

If the college asks, you can explain it’s due to the university’s result declaration process. It won’t affect your admission.

I am 2 arts completed student l am 18 years old can l join in indian airforce how l can apply?

Ankur Mehta 23rd Aug, 2025

Hey Niranjana! Since you have completed 12th in Arts and are 18 years old, you can definitely aim to join the Indian Air Force through a few entry options. The most suitable one for you now is Agniveer Vayu (Agnipath scheme) for non-technical candidates. You need to be between 17½ to 21 years old and have 50% marks in 12th, including English. Selection is through an online test, followed by physical fitness and medical exams.

Later, after graduation, you can also try AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) for ground duty branches like Administration, Logistics, or Education. For that, you need a graduation degree, and selection includes written exam, SSB interview, and medical tests.

To apply, keep an eye on official portals like agnipathvayu.cdac.in and afcat.cdac.in, register during the notification period, and ensure you meet all eligibility criteria. Meanwhile, start physical fitness training and prepare for basic general knowledge and reasoning to boost your chances. With focus and determination, you can definitely achieve your goal to join the IAF.

my wbjee general rank is 50k and obc rank is 5k will I get heritage institute?

Rithwik Kumar Sahu 23rd Aug, 2025

With a WBJEE General Rank of ~50,000 and OBC-B Rank ~5,000, getting Heritage Institute of Technology (HITK), Kolkata is very tough. Heritage usually closes its OBC-B ranks within 1,000–2,000 for popular branches (CSE, IT, ECE). Even for lower-demand branches like Civil, Electrical, or Chemical, OBC-B cutoff is usually below 3,500–4,000. At 5,000 OBC-B rank, your chances at Heritage are very low, but you may get other good private colleges under WBJEE counseling.

my gmr rank 19551 my obc a rank 1075 can I give cse or me branch

Rithwik Kumar Sahu 23rd Aug, 2025

With a GMR 19551 and OBC-A rank 1075 in WBJEE, getting CSE in top-tier colleges like Jadavpur University, IEM, Heritage, Techno Main Salt Lake is difficult, as CSE usually closes within much lower ranks even for OBC-A. However, you may still have a chance for Mechanical (ME) or other core branches in decent govt colleges and good private colleges. For CSE, you might get in lower-tier private colleges or in later rounds if cutoffs go higher.

my gmr rank 19551 my obc a rank 1075 can I give cse or me branch

Simran Vohra 22nd Aug, 2025

Hello!

According to your GMR rank and OBC - A category your chances of getting a seat in CSE is difficult because it's in very high demand and it's cutt off closed earlier around 8,000-12,000 GMR ranks. You can still try in less popular colleges.

You can try in  Mechanical Engineering because their cutt offs closed around 18,000-20,000 for your category students so you have good chances of getting admission in it.
