Hello
If you’ve accepted a seat in the first round of AIQ counseling and opted for upgradation, you may still be allowed to participate in your state’s second and third counseling rounds but this depends on your state’s specific rules, so it’s important to check carefully. If you get a better seat in the state counseling, like your desired branch in the third round, you’ll usually need to formally resign from the AIQ seat before joining the new one. This means submitting a withdrawal application to the AIQ authority and then completing admission formalities with the state college.
To avoid any confusion or losing your seat, make sure to follow the guidelines and deadlines from both AIQ and your state counseling officials.
If you have joined a seat through AIQ first round and chosen the option for upgradation, you are still allowed to participate in your state counselling rounds as well. However, the rules depend on your state’s counselling authority. In general, if you get a seat in state round 2 or 3 and you want to take it, you will need to resign from the AIQ seat before the deadline given by MCC. Only after resigning from AIQ, you can complete admission formalities for the state seat. This usually involves document verification, payment of admission fees, and reporting to the allotted college.
