Regardless of how much you study and what rank you get , the placement scenario is different and doesn't solely focus on the academic personna of a student. Placements are usually conducted towards the end of the course and the students are expected to have a nice profile in order to bag a job. Only a rank under 10 in WBJEE doesn't assure a placement , he needs to have something different to give on the table and add value.
