You have not mentioned your category hence I will assume you are from general category with a domicile certificate of Tamil Nadu.

For Vellore:

The cutoff ranks for different streams like CSE and IT all end at around 17000 rank and even production and industrial engineering seats get filled by 28000 rank hence I dont think it will be possible for you to get a seat in VIT with 62000 rank.

For Chennai:

Even in chennai the last cutoff goes upto 40000 in mechanical (maximum of all streams). However you can get a seat in Fashion Technology in VIT Chennai with your rank.
