Noise pollution is usually caused by the transport noises, machinery functioning in industries, loud music etc. According to noise pollution rules, the permissible limits of noise are-

  • Industrial area- 75 dB in day and 70 dB in night
  • Commercial area- 66 dB in day and 55 dB in night
  • Residential area- 55 dB in day and 45 dB in night.
