As you might already be knowing that aerospace engineering is all about designing and building machines that fly.
Aerospace engineers usually work for government agencies and manufacturing industries.
Apart from it , a select few aerospace engineers are chosen to work on the International Space Stations such as NASA.
A fresher in Aerospace Engineering makes a decent start in his/her career.
In the beginning they can get upto 4to 5 lakh per annum.
And at last I would just like to tell you that working in your own country as an aerospace engineer may not get you much money initially, and you may be attracted by the better career options for the same in other countries, so that is a choice you are going to have to make

yes aerospace engineering will be a good career in India economically because the average package  is 6 to 10 lakh and the highest package of aerospace engineer in India is 30 lakhs .you can fly high with career in aerospace engineering. India has many great institute like IISC for aerospace engineering.
