According to Supreme Court AICTE is mandatory for the institutions running engineering program. However, for the UGC approved universities, AICTE accreditation is not needed. As far as NAAC approval is concerned, LPU is working towards it and very soon LPU will get NAAC accreditation.

LPU does not require an AICTE approval because it is already approved by UGC, a statutory body of the Government of India.
