Yes, aiims and jipmer are really merged with neet. And neet is only the gateway to enter into medical College .

Union Minister of Health Harsh Vardhan announced that the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) will be included under the umbrella of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Till 2019-2020, there was NEET and AIIMS and JIPMER conducted their own entrance test. But, this is going to change from 2020 onwards.

Dear Afrin, yes. NEET will be the only entrance examination for admission to AIIMS 15 branches, JIPMER 2 branches along with Government, Private, Central and Deemed Universities across India. There will be no more AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS entrance examinations.
