With a WBJEE rank of 28,393, chances for B.Tech ECE in good colleges are very low. Jadavpur University and top private colleges close at much lower ranks. Some lesser-known private colleges may still offer ECE at this rank, but options are limited.

You may also try for other branches where cut-offs are higher.

With a WBJEE rank of 28,393,you have good chances in private colleges or MAKAUT- affiliated colleges , since their cut-offs go up to 30,000 or more in later rounds.However, getting into top government colleges isn't possible.To be safe, you should fill in a wide choice list during counselling and also keep other branches like EEE,IT,or Mechanical, as backup options.If you belong to a reserved category(EWS, OBC, SC, ST),your chances improve further.
