TISSNET 2018 shall be conducted on January 6th ,2018.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) conducts a National Entrance Test (NET) exam known as TISSNET. The exam is conducted for all Masters programmes offered in TISS campuses at Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad, Guwahati, IMHST Chennai, MHAT Calicut and G-SET Ranchi.

TISS does not offer any MBA programme. Instead, it offers MA in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations (HRM & LR) programme at its Mumbai campus. It also offers various other Masters degrees.

Here are some preparation tips for English:

English Proficiency section is broadly divided into two parts – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension.

• Read newspapers dailyThe newspapers are not just an excellent source of knowledge but also of English improvement. While reading the newspapers, you will come across many new words. Note down these words along with their meanings and revise them regularly.Read the editorial section of the newspaper.
• Learn idioms, synonyms, antonyms you are preparing for English section.
• Learn the rules of grammar an understanding of the rules of grammar will make it easier for you to answer the questions based on sentence correction and error spotting.

Preparation tips for Maths:

• Most of the questions asked in the section are based on basic mathematical concepts. Therefore, to do well in this section, you just need to be on good terms with Class 10th and 12th Maths.
• Practice and solve as many questions as you can.

Preparation tips for General Awareness:

Gain Knowledge of all fields Current events is not the only area you need to focus on while preparing for TISSNET 2018. It is important to understand that the questions are asked from a wide variety of topics such as politics, business, economy, health, education, sports, history, literature etc. Therefore, one of the most important is that you should broaden your horizon and expand your knowledge in all areas.
